As I was writing up the last post, the Free for All post, I kept finding pictures of holiday decor we had shared over the years and thought about how sometimes, during all the ‘busy’ of the holiday season how nice it is to pour a cup of tea and sit down and simply enjoy some beautiful home decor.

I always enjoy seeing different home styles and being inspired by talented people, especially those living in real homes with budgets, thrifted decor and unlimited creativity. We are especially grateful to non-blogger friends who have graciously allowed us to share their holiday homes over the years. Today I wanted to share some very favorite home tours so you could hopefully find some time to relax and enjoy in all the craziness of the season.

I looked forward to seeing Ashli’s home each year we shared it. The vintage finds, the blue and white, and the sheer creativity she uses to decorate always gives me the best ideas. You can see her most recent home tour here, and the second part here and a previous tour of her home here.

Another beautifully decorated home we shared from another of Christy’s talented friends, Danielle’s home has been a reader favorite especially for those of you who love traditional decor. From the tablescapes to the antiques (she is an antiques dealer, her Instagram is here) there is so much beauty in her home tours.

Even the exterior of her home is lovely, see more in part 1 of her tour here.

It has been several years since I decorated our bedroom, though it was nice the year I put the effort in. You can see that post here.

Here is a look back at our foyer in 2020. I tried to keep to a traditional decor style last year, which I really loved.

And here is the same space but in the previous year (2019).

I also created a red and white tablescape in 2019, it was very festive! That post is here.

Here are some favorite images from Christy’s decor over the years.

Of course this is from her tour this year in her Stuttgart apartment, isn’t the tree pretty in the mirror (more mirror details here).

This was the dining room in the MCC House, you can see that tour here. We love decorating rooms for our daughters’ at this time of year, also in that post is her ballet-themed bedroom.

Here is my daughter’s Christmas room back when it was painted aqua (one of my most asked questions due to the popularity of this room on Pinterest is what is the paint color? The answer is Behr Shimmering Pool).

We’ll be taking time off to be with our families over the next few weeks. We appreciate each and every one of you who come to our website, reads our posts and is part of this fun online community. We wish all of you the very merriest of Christmases. This is a time of hope, when we celebrate the promise that Jesus brings to our world. No matter what you are dealing with this holiday, my wish is that all of you find peace and joy in this promise this holiday.
XO,

And the merriest of Christmases to you/family and Christy too!!
Five Stars to the Ginger Spice Cookie recipe. I had the pleasure of making them with my 8-year-old granddaughter. She said these were the “most fun” cookies to make – getting her hands in the flour – rolling the dough into balls then into sugar. Great time had by both of us!
