I’m back today with part 2 of my friend Danielle’s holiday home tour (part 1 is HERE). Yesterday I showed you the beautiful front yard and porch and her living room and today I’m sharing her dining room, kitchen, and breakfast room. Danielle has a great sense of style and her home is decorated in what I would call “traditional Southern”–no one does it better!
(Her Facebook page is Camellia Cottage; you can visit it HERE)
As you might know, our little area of North Carolina is known for golf, horses, and hunting. Danielle is actually a wonderful golfer who played in college but her decor is mostly horses and hunting, with stunning vintage and antique pieces mixed throughout. As I did yesterday, I’m going to share the photos without a lot of “talking” so you can just enjoy her talent.
I think that’s the perfect way to end our holiday home tour series, don’t you? Probably the nicest part about Danielle’s house is that it’s a home, and it’s just as warm and welcoming as she is. No matter what your decorating style is, or the size of your home, I hope that your house is filled with love this Christmas, too.

Your friend Danielle has exquisite taste! I just found your and Amy’s blog yesterday and couldn’t believe how beautiful your friend’s house was decorated for Christmas–and for year round. I’d love to see more recent shots of her home today.
Christy says
Thanks so much, Beverly! I agree with you completely. In fact, I sent her your comment and asked her if she’d work with me on a spring tour, and she’s considering it. Well done!
Oh, and welcome to 11 Magnolia Lane; we’re glad to meet you!

I love the colors! Gorgeous!!! Too many of the homes are decorated in white!
Christy says
I agree. Plus, this is “real” decorating and not staged just for photos. Have you seen her other home tours on our blog (including her Spring/Easter one)? If not, just search “Danielle’s House” and they should all come up. Enjoy!

Hi there! Fellow NorthCarolinian here and love the cottage! Wherever did she get the panels for the dining room? They are gorgeous.
Christy says
Paige, she says she found them at Lowe’s Home Improvement and that unfortunately they’ve since been discontinued. I wish I could be more help!
Evelyn says
Beautiful home ! I would love to know what color paint you used in your dining room. I love it ! Thanks
Christy says
Thank you! Danielle says it’s Macadamia by Sherwin-Williams.
Alice Neff says
A beautiful home! Can you tell me what the drape fabric is in the dining room?
I have the ame cherry corner cupboard inherited from my mother and grandmother.
Christy says
Hello, Alice–
I agree, it’s a lovely home! She is very talented.
