Amy’s spring home tour last week got me inspired to start bringing a touch of spring into our home (even though it’s still pretty cold and gray over here). I’ll be looking forward to sharing an updated home tour with you soon since the last one I did was at Christmas (see it here), but today I thought I’d share a few ways to bring spring into your home.
Flowers
One of the easiest ways to bring in a touch of spring is to add a few new florals to your space. I always love hyacinths because they smell so good; lilies are another favorite.

If you’d rather go scent-neutral, then tulips are colorful but odor-free.

Orchids always say spring to me as my dad used to get us orchid corsages to wear to church on Easter Sunday; a bonus is that they are hard to kill!

Throw Pillows
There are few things that I love more than a good throw pillow! There’s no easier way to change the look of a room and update it for a new season.
Amy and I both have quite a collection of throw pillows that we change out seasonally.

Add Lemons (or Yellow)
There’s something about a cheerful pop of yellow that makes us think spring, and lemons are my go-to since we use them all the time in the kitchen and I always have a bowl on my counter.

While we’re on the topic of lemons, we have a great lemon martini recipe that is perfect for spring! See the recipe here.
Outdoor Spaces
One of my favorite ways to welcome spring is to spruce up my outdoor spaces; even if it’s still chilly outside a few throws will make it easy to soak up some Vitamin D!

Most of the time this just involves hosing off our furniture/touching up spray paint, and washing or fluffing outdoor pillows. Some years we have to take on a bigger project, like painting the porch floor, and I like to do those in the spring before the heat hits.
