If there was ever a “signature cocktail” for us, the Lemon Martini would be it. Hands down this is my very favorite drink and I thought it was high time we reshared it here on the blog. Today I wanted to repost this recipe just in time for the holiday weekend.

As many of you may know, my husband worked his way through college and his 20’s bartending at a popular DC establishment and his skills still come in handy to this day. We’ve shared many of his concoctions over the years, but this one is the one I always request he make for me, it is my very favorite drink. I finally convinced him to make it on video so you can see his method!
Hop on over to our Instagram and watch our stories tonight (I’ll save the videos in highlights too) to see him make this drink live, and don’t miss the shake dance 😉!
Here is the general recipe, you can see below what you need to mix up a batch of lemon martinis just in time for the weekend.

Lemon Martini Recipe
The best light lemon cocktail perfect for summer celebrations
Ingredients
- 6 oz vodka
- 3 oz peach schnapps
- 2 oz limoncello
- 2 c fresh lemonade to taste
- ice to fill
- 1 fresh lemon
Instructions
-
Fill cocktail shaker with ice approximately half full. Pour in vodka, schapps and limoncello.
-
Fill with lemonade to the top
-
Squeeze in the juice of one lemon using strainer
-
Shake very well!
-
Pour into chilled martini glass and garnish with a "twist" of the rind if you like

My husband makes the “twist” by cutting the rind off the lemon and ‘twisting’ it and dropping it in the drink. You can also add a slice of lemon instead if you prefer. Sometimes we pre-freeze some lemon slices and drop one of those in. Regardless, these are fun for any celebration or just cocktail hour!
This makes approximately 4 cocktails, and being “martinis” fair warning, they are strong. Feel free to adjust the alcohol down with more lemonade to your taste!

Sidenote: if you want to make this more like a Lemon Drop Cocktail, just add some sugar to the rim!
Have a great weekend! Make sure you hop on over to Instagram to see all the cocktail making fun!

Haha, your husband is too cute! This looks delicious, and I plan to try it just as soon as I can get some limoncello and peach schnapps. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much–you made his day! I hope you liked it, anything to get through the quarantine right? 🙂 XO, Amy
This sounds delish except for the vodka. I am not a fan. Could you use gin instead?
Sure, gin would be good in here too!

These were delightful! I’d been planing a trip to the ABC (we’re also in VA) for supplies and the end result did not disappoint. Thanks for livening up a boring Tuesday evening!
I am so, so glad you liked it too! We are hoping to do margaritas on Instagram on Friday night. I hope you will tune in! Cheers!
XO,
Amy
