Tomorrow is October 1st, but we broke 90 degrees today, so we still have one foot firmly in summer. That being said, this is the perfect time of year for a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail, if you prefer), so I thought I’d share a few of our favorite fall beverages.
This grapefruit tonic cocktail is super refreshing. Since I published this recipe, I have a few tweaks: first, I always use Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka these days, and I buy Trader Joe’s fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. It’s absolutely delicious.
Pear is one of my favorite fall flavors, and this pear martini recipe that Amy’s husband created is on repeat at our house. I have a hard time finding pear flavored vodka in Alabama, so I’ve started bringing a bottle or two back whenever we travel to North Carolina.
Moscow mules have been popular for several years now, and they’re so refreshing. My husband prefers bourbon to vodka, so he’ll often make a Kentucky mule that just substitutes a shot of “brown water” for the vodka.
A few years ago, Amy introduced me to this perfect fall cocktail that her (former bartender) husband concocted. This apple cider martini is honestly my favorite fall cocktail, and we serve it every year at Thanksgiving. Run, do not walk, to buy the ingredients if you’ve never tried it. You’re welcome!
Cheers, and Happy Fall, Y’all!
