I feel like I have drawn this project out long enough! This spring we had a deck built on the back of our home, I shared my decor inspiration post for it HERE. While it was being constructed I took advantage of the great spring sales this year to order all the furniture online. Today I wanted to show you how the space came out.
For the most part, I was pretty true to the plan above with the exception of purchasing a less expensive coffee table. Unfortunately the one I wanted sold out before I could ordered it.
We have it set up to have two areas out here, a conversation set and a dining area. We also have space for our grill and the entertaining bar area I showed you last week.
You can read the post about how I made over this table HERE.
I really love having this sectional out here. I will say it is a bit on the smaller size, but it works really well in our space as our deck isn’t huge at 16×20′. This sofa is very comfortable and well made. I have had some inquiries on Instagram about how I keep it clean, I ordered this cover here which is a perfect fit for the sectional, so when we aren’t out here I keep the cover on it to protect the white cushions.
I took a chance on the rug, which is actually a mat and I love it because it is a plastic like material that is completely waterproof and seems indestructible. It cost less than $32 for the 6×9 size so it was a super affordable way to add pattern out here and it finishes the space off nicely.
After an exhausting search for chairs, I wound up ordering the chairs from the same line as the sectional and couldn’t be happier with them. They are slightly oversized, so they work as seating with the sectional and at our dining table. They are well made a super comfortable to sit in and I thought a very good price for a set of six.
The table I chose is also great quality especially for the price, I don’t think you can beat it. It’s large enough to be comfortable for all of us to sit around and it is holding up great outside in the elements.
I didn’t use the umbrella from the first collage, as this black scalloped one is a much better price. We’ve had some strong winds and get plenty of shade back here so I actually am not really sure we need an umbrella but this one is so cute (and affordable), it is hard to resist.
Over Memorial Day we had some good friends over to enjoy the space, social distance style. If there was ever a time I am grateful for outdoor space and fresh air it is now. The tray is HERE, it is my go to for making platters for easy outside entertaining these days (even for just our family!).
The coffee table and the white ginger jar came from At Home stores, I ordered them online and picked up at the store. I still have some final touches out here–we’d like to add string lights and a few more planters but all in good time. For now we’re just so happy to be able to get outside!

It looks amazing, love the sectional. I am sure you will really enjoy your deck this summer.
Do you have a source for your black coffee table?
Hi It came from At Home Stores!
What an inspirational desk! Beautiful! Classy! Just a quick note – I think I would add a larger mounted light fixture — just a thought. Love your blog and love your ideas. THANKS!
Hi there, I’d love to know the stain color/brand you used for the deck. It’s gorgeous! Thank you
