Anewall provided the materials used in this post at no cost, but my opinions are my own.
I am SO excited to show you our mudroom! I knew that it would be fabulous once we got the black and white floral wall mural installed but I must say, it surpassed my expectations. The room just seems so much more fun now, I find myself smiling every time I looked through the doorway and that is always a good sign.
I first showed this space off in this post here, when I talked about how to do the easy board and batten wall trim, so you can see what it looked like before in the picture below.
The trim helped the rather plain room be a little more interesting, but I had an inspiration while I was working on it all and decided not to paint the room, but instead try to find something with more impact for the top part of the wall. Since this is the back door to our house, it is an area I could get a little more creative with and this black and white print was just the thing.
I fell in love with this large black and white floral print and knew immediately it was exactly what I wanted for this room. Installing it was simple, Anewall makes it so easy. They sent me the pre-pasted wallpaper in the exact dimensions I needed. It was pre-cut into smaller pieces that each were numbered in their order of installation, so simple.
They offer their wallpapers in several formats, a self-adhesive vinyl temporary paper (great for renters), pre-pasted wallpaper (what I used) and a traditional wallpaper in a beautiful matte finish. You can see all the patterns they offer HERE.
This mudroom connects our garage to our kitchen/living area in the back part of our house, but you can also see it from our kitchen. I love seeing the fun floral pattern peeking out through the kitchen doorway.
I added some hooks from Hobby Lobby for backpacks and purses and might add a bulletin board by the back door for reminders down the road. For now, this space has come a long way in both organization and in how it looks. We love, love, love it!
You can see more of our new home in these posts below, I’ll be putting together a full home tour soon! Have a great weekend, we’re off to visit colleges with my oldest son, can someone please tell me where the time goes?

The floral pattern makes the mudroom more attractive and I am just surprised the way you decorated the small mudroom. The picture frame is also looking great. Thanks for sharing.
