Today I’m sharing a few photos from a party we attended in October. Our friends, Mark and Kathie, hosted the event. Their Pinehurst, NC, home is absolutely gorgeous.
I’ve shared their home on the blog many times before (Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3); 2018 graduation party; 2021 graduation party; backyard tour). I’ve also shared a New Year’s Eve party that I helped Kathie set up at her husband’s office in downtown Southern Pines. He designed their home and landscaping and in my opinion, their home is always the best advertisement for his architectural talents!
I took about a hundred photos of the evening but today I’m severely limiting myself for the sake of brevity. I’ll probably share more of the interior of their home in January since they’ve made some changes since the last time I photographed it. Mark also finished their garage into the perfect “man cave” area and that’s honestly worth an entire post of its own, but here’s a sneak peek:
They invited about 150 people, and I think nearly that many attended. Some dropped in for an hour or two, and some stayed the entire night. Chris and I drove down from VA, where we were staying at the time, and spent the weekend in Mark and Kathie’s guest room.
On Saturday, we set up for the party. They had the food catered so that made things so much easier; also, Mark’s mother did a tremendous job on the planters and window boxes so those were already picture-perfect.
The weather was perfect and as the sun set, the candles in the water feature and the string lights were so pretty.
It was such a fun night for us as we were reunited with a number of dear friends we had missed while we were overseas.
Even though we’re past the fall and pumpkin season, I hope you enjoyed seeing their home again. And if you’d like a party post that has more evergreens and sparkly ornaments in it, visit our 2018 New Year’s Eve party post here.
Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by.

I remember their beautiful home and the outside is as beautiful as ever. I also remember the mother’s home and how much I loved it as well.

Yes, that little house for Mark’s mother is just adorable. It’s the perfect size for one person and has all the lovely finishes that you could want.

Yes, such a beautiful home still! The candles really caught my eye as I love them. Seems like a perfect evening! I actually long for fall temps. We’re having such weird weather, 80 one day and 30 the next. 🤷♀️

We’re in Florida right now so I understand about 80 degree weather, but of course that’s how it’s supposed to be here, even at this time of year. I guess it’s good training for Costa Rica–lol!
