Today I’m sharing a few photos from my daughter’s graduation party; of course most parties were held in May or June, but we waited until we were back in the States so she could celebrate with friends that she hadn’t seen in a year.

Our dear friends, Mark and Kathie, offered to host yet again for us at their Pinehurst home since we are currently homeless (at least in the States).

This was a much smaller gathering than our last graduation party as we only invited local friends and not out-of-town family. I think we had around 25 guests total, and to be honest it was the perfect number as she was able to catch up with everybody.

We kept things super-simple so we could focus on visiting with those we had missed seeing over the past year, especially friends in her graduating class.

Mark made his famous pork and chicken tacos, with homemade tortilla chips, and Kathie and I were in charge of toppings, guacamole, pico de gallo, and pinto beans.

We also mixed up a batch of margaritas to serve along with beer, wine, water, and soda.

I ordered custom cups and napkins for the occasion from this Etsy shop and thought they turned out great!

For dessert, I ordered a variety of mini cupcakes from our local bakery and we made fondant diplomas to put on top.

We also had beautifully decorated sugar cookies to send home as favors (they were as delicious as they were pretty).

Before we left Germany, we printed out some of her favorite photos to put on a display board. Obviously I had none of my entertaining items with me, so in addition to Kathie, my friends Ashly and and Danielle loaned me pretty much everything in the photos.

It was a perfect night for a party.

Most importantly, the guest of honor had a wonderful time.

We are so blessed to have amazing friends…I can’t thank them enough for helping me to pull it off!

Wonderful friends, that’s for sure! Such a lovely party for a lovely young lady! Everything looks beautiful and all the food and drinks delish. I’m sure it was so nice to catch up with friends and family. So happy you were able to do this!

Congrats to Annabelle and her parents! And how grand to have special friends to help host!! Everything looked delish and wonderful!
It was such a wonderful evening. She wouldn’t have had a graduation party if Kathie hadn’t stepped up (again). We are so blessed with our friends.

SO sorry for the delay, Marty. You know I’ve had quite a summer! She is happy as a clam at Georgetown and calls home a few times a week bubbling over with excitement. Thanks for the good wishes!

Oh my goodness! Where does time go? Everything looked so pretty. Where is she going to college! How is your son? How are you doing?
A big congratulations!
Hey, Rebecca–
I know–time flies! She’s at Georgetown and is absolutely loving it–she calls home several times a week to report on the wonderful classes and professors.
