Just prior to a major holiday we often write a post along the lines of “What to Wear, Drink and Bring this (insert holiday)”, but with this year being so different so I wanted to change the topic slightly this year. We probably aren’t ‘bringing’ as much, since most of us will be staying home and many of us might just consider it a pajama day– I am sure it will be around here!
Though many companies are now quoting delivery times after Christmas prices are low as retailers try to grab end-of-year dollars so here are some favorite finds for a relaxing Christmas at home.
If you want to indulge in cashmere, this line looks super cozy (and it is all on sale), the pullover would be nice for lounging around watching Christmas movies. I also highly recommend this ruched top (below), (true to size) it works so well with leggings, it has a pretty neckline on its own and looks nice under a cardigan and is super soft. I have been wearing this non- stop (true to size) with these cozy leggings (size down if you are between sizes).
For our go-to cozy look, a Barefoot Dreams cardigan will pretty much be on repeat for me over the next few weeks. If you don’t already have one, I hope Santa brings you one 🙂
If you are planning to dress up (we will dress for Christmas Eve, then be all casual from there on) then there are a ton of festive plaid outfit ideas here.
As I write this this plaid blouse is just $13.50, I love the classic style. Pair this with some velvet jeans (also on sale) for a pretty, but still, cozy outfit.
As far as what to drink on Christmas…Well, I consider the holidays an excuse to break out champagne so why break tradition?! Here are some holiday cocktail ideas if you prefer to mix something up.
A Whiskey Sour is perfect, you can find the recipe here. This classic cocktail works anytime but is especially nice at the holidays.
Or a Salted Caramel Martini because it is the holidays and 2020 so all rules are gone, mix dessert and a cocktail? Why not!?
For a non-alcoholic drink, our Cherry Limeade recipe is always a hit! The red is perfect for the holidays and everyone always enjoys it.
Of course each year we share one of our favorite recipes, these Cinnamon Rolls! Don’t they look amazing?
Years ago I shared our family’s traditional Christmas Dinner Menu with printable menus, you can find it here.
I love Christy’s tradition of a fondue celebration on Christmas Eve. We sometimes do this on New Years Eve, but why not start a new tradition this year?
We’re in the one week countdown! If you are still shopping our 2020 Gift Guides can be found HERE.
