I’ve been waiting to write these words for a LONG time, but we have finally found a house that we love in Huntsville! Our offer was accepted yesterday, and as we weren’t the only ones who wanted it, I feel very thankful. I haven’t shared too much about the house hunt, but this was the third house we tried to buy and multiple offers are very much still a thing in this market. I know that’s not the case all over, but it really is here–and it’s not for the faint of heart. I had to just give it all to God and trust that He would put us exactly where He wanted us to be.
Since we still have a month or so until closing, I’m not going to share any photos yet. Might as well wait until it’s a done deal. I do just want to say that it’s been kind of hard writing a decorating blog over the past few months without anything to decorate! By the time we move in, it will be nine months since we left Germany with no fixed address in the meantime, so I am really looking forward to not being a nomad anymore.
Today I wanted to share some of our past Easter tablescapes. We’ll be joining friends in Huntsville this year and since it’s also Masters weekend, my husband will be making his famous pimiento cheese to share (recipe here).
As an aside, if you’re hosting something for the Masters, check out my Masters party post here.
If you’re looking for some Easter table inspiration, here are a few of ours:
Pink, green and blue table (see the rest of Mary’s spring home tour here, too)
Yellow and blue tablescape (see the rest of Danielle’s spring home tour here)
Orchid tablescape (includes instructions for DIY’ing your own orchid centerpiece)
Blue and gold tablescape (I sure miss my monogrammed china; it’s been in storage since August along with the rest of our house)
If you want to see our traditional Easter menu; visit this post. It’s scaled to four people but of course can be expanded if necessary. And if you’re going to be a guest, I like to take this homemade mustard as a hostess gift; I’ve even designed printable tags to dress up your jar. I share it all the time–it’s perfect with ham.
Amy shared the cutest provence-style tablecloths in her post here; I went right out and ordered one of the blue and white ones for my rectangular dining table. It’s still in storage but hopefully I’ll be seeing it again very soon.
Easter blessings to you and yours!

Can’t wait to see and hear all about the house! Huntsville is a very nice town. I’m glad you posted the mustard recipe again. I failed completely to write it down and it appears so easy to make. I’m having around 17, all family, and I’m quite sure everyone
will love it. Happy Easter, He is Risen!!
