Today’s post is about all Christmas things. For several years we posted a “What to Wear, Drink, Eat and Bring” post before each major holiday and this is along the same lines. I wanted to also include some last minute gift ideas and wrapping solutions too though so we’re calling it “All Things Christmas”, just in the nick of time!

We already shared a post with last minute gift ideas, you can see that here. With shipping costs, it might be better to send e-gifts at this point (you can’t go wrong with Amazon!), and if you want to be a little more personal, you can gift a subscription to Kindle Unlimited (you can use it to read via an app on your phone, right now you get the first two months for $4.99 a month), or Amazon Music. Another practical gift is a subscription (or gift card) to a food service, we really, really love the meat from Good Ranchers. Nordstrom is saying gifts ordered today will arrive if you are down to the wire, though you have to order before midnight tonight!

Whether you are hosting or not this year, here are some of our favorites to eat (or bring!). I have already shared our family’s very favorite cookie recipe, my husband makes them every year. If you are looking for our family Christmas Eve dinner menu I shared it in this post here several years ago; really not much changes from year to year. If you are looking for an idea for something less formal and more social to celebrate, Christy’s family does a fondue celebration, you can see more here.

I also recommend a batch of Christy’s cinnamon rolls to make ahead and serve on Christmas morning. You can find a recipe for a festive Salted Caramel Martini here or a classic Whiskey Sour if you are looking for something fun to drink.

For last minute wrapping (something most of us are doing this week, right?) we have some pretty, printable “Thrill of Hope” gift tags here. I love adding a personal touch to gifts, these tags are a nice way to do it.
It’s always fun to think about what to wear, whether you have a dressy Christmas Eve and a casual pajama day on Christmas like our family does, or even if you just want to embrace the holiday spirit by wearing plaid the entire time! J. Crew Factory has the cutest holiday and plaid items this year. Right now this plaid flannel is just $9.99 (!), these ruffle neck sweaters are just $24, and this pretty cardigan is also on sale for $29. You can order and pick up in a store if you have one local to save on shipping and get it in time for Christmas.

You can also find great deals on pajamas for everyone in your family here. Another fun, comfortable find is this $25 quarter-zip sweatshirt, I have been living in this all season long. Another comfortable find, these velour leggings are definitely on my wish list!

One final note before we sign off for the holiday. If you feel led to share because you are blessed this holiday, this charity which funds and runs several orphanages around the world is near and dear to my family’s heart. We can personally attest to the real work they do (our son has traveled to Mexico to serve twice), and a donation or giving to their gift registry at this time of year helps provide gifts for the children living in their orphanages. You can learn more and donate here. This is the true spirit of Christmas!
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday, may the joy of Christmas dwell in your hearts this week and into the new year!
XO,

Great ideas, Amy! Thanks for sharing! Wishing all of you a wonderful and very blessed holiday season!

Can you tell us where the signs over your bar cart are from? Very cute.
Hi Barbara, they are cute aren’t they? I actually had them in inventory in the online holiday store I had a few years ago. Unfortunately I didn’t reopen that this year due to supply issues. If I see them around anywhere I will come back and let you know! take care,
Amy
Thanks Amy, I really appreciate that.
