Despite the storms of pollen we’re currently experiencing, the weather is definitely spring-like here in North Carolina (yay!), and we’ve been able to start enjoying our beautiful deck and backyard again.

It couldn’t be simpler to use: plug it in, hold down the button, and the ElectroLight heats to 1300° F. It takes just a few minutes to ignite charcoal and/or wood chips, and you don’t have to douse your charcoal with lighter fluid first. That’s my husband’s favorite part; he swears that using chemicals changes the taste of the food (and of course it’s nowhere near as healthy).

A grill favorite at our house is CABBAGE, even with the younger set. Cut into wedges, drizzle with a spread like Smart Balance or butter, sprinkle with cayenne peer, wrap in foil and lace on grill, turning occasionally for about 20 minutes.

My favorite thing to cook on the grill is steaks.

I believe that Big Green Egg is on my hubby’s wish list….how great to make a great pizza in it….however, for me, nothing is better than a great grilled steak!…Your backyard looks magnificent….yes, the downfall of Spring..the dreaded and awful pollen….then when you think it is gone, then comes another wave of it!

The green egg is the bomb- anything but chicken and pizza are our favorites! The only downside is the lighting and the HomeRight Electrolight would make the job so much friendlier!
