I thought we’d walk on the lighter side of life and talk about fun spring finds today but first thank you so much for the kind words about our powder room. It was a labor of love, certainly for such a small space, but I am pleased with how it came out. Anyway, warmer weather is always a mood booster for me, so it is fun to look forward to spring clothes. I definitely haven’t purchased as many new things as I have in other years with the new staying home is the new going out thing and all, but I had fun finding some spring items I thought were worth sharing with you today.
I’ll start with some new clothing favorite picks. I loved this lightweight cotton shirt, I watched it for a few weeks and then was able to buy it on sale and pick it up in the store to save on shipping. Loft sizing can be tricky, I typically size down with them but in this case I think the shirt looks fine a bit loose so I’d suggest sizing up for a flowy fit.
I really wanted to buy these cropped high waist pants in white (below) but I don’t need them since I already have these from last year, so I ordered the black. Though, if they are as good as I am hoping I might add the white down the road! I like the flat panel top and that they can be dressed up or down and they are on sale for $29 right now. I think they will be really cute with a button up shirt tied at the waist if you are wondering what to wear with them.
I also think they would be so pretty for spring with this embroidered top above. Isn’t this pretty?
I can’t resist much that is blue and white, these striped flip flops are a deal at less than $20. They come in animal prints for only $11.50 here too!
I am a fan of lightweight dresses in warmer weather and I thought this v-neck one was adorable. Even on a hot day it would be perfect, and I like that it isn’t too short.
This gingham dress is SO cute (above), it is less than $50. It would be perfect for an outdoor graduation (which some places are having) or other outdoor event.
Another cute shoe, these are on sale for a great price (with free shipping) they come in black too. While Tory Burch shoes are pricey, in my experience they last forever. I have the classic Miller sandals and they look the same as they did the day they got them (several years ago), I wear them all the time.
Tory Burch launched a seasonal sale this week and the standout items look to be shoes, like these quilted mini ballet flats. This classic style is perfect for spring, especially before it is officially sandal weather (like here in chilly Virginia!).
I wanted to share this picture above because honestly, I loved all the pieces and I thought it was a great example of how to put together a perfect spring outfit. You can’t go wrong with blue, yellow and white for spring! I love how easily all the pieces work together like the classic jean jacket, the soft yellow top and the fun eyelet skirt.
Amazon Fashion, I admit, can be tempting but these days I am trying to focus on what I need not just every good deal that catch my eye. However, I am a big fan of comfortable outfits and this one piece fit the bill. It would be a great travel day outfit, or just something to wear around on a lazy (warm) day.
This skirt/sarong bathing suit coverup is a great pool or beach solution. It’s a great way to add coverage over a bathing suit, and it’s very affordable.
For a spring favorite that doesn’t have to do with your wardrobe, I have been waiting for the chance to share with you all the Pura Fragrance Diffuser. I hemmed and hawed about whether I really needed this for months but finally decided that 1) I have two dogs and 2) buying candles in different seasonal scents is expensive anyway so this purchase, while a little unnecessary, was justifiable. If you aren’t familiar you plug the diffuser into your wall outlet and insert two different home fragrances in it. You control the scent (the strength, timing etc.) distribution via an app on your phone. I have mine set to alternate between the two scents on different days, and it turns itself on and off so we aren’t wasting the fragrance, for example, while we are sleeping. There are so many scents to choose from but so far the Antica Farmacista Orange Blossom and the Nest Lemon Amalfi (refill is here) are my favorites. I love them both, but it’s fun to try new ones when they run out.
A cleaning note worth the mention–if you are a Grove customer the Ms. Meyers Mint is back for spring! I love this for my dish soap, counters and dishes. I think it is my favorite scent they have all year but typically they only have it out for a limited time.
