Happy 4th of July to our American friends! It is always a little strange when this holiday falls in the middle of the week but we’re making the best of it, we’ll be celebrating today with family and friends and I hope you will be too!
Last year we had just moved in this home, so our 4th was spent trying to dig out from boxes. I am excited that this year we get to celebrate in a much more traditional way. Christy is, however, mid-move right now so my heart goes out to her!
Today I just wanted to share some quick snaps I took of our 4th of July decor. I didn’t go all out, I just added a few red, white and blue touches to our porch in honor of the holiday. I am missing a bunting, we lost one already and they were already sold out when I stopped by yesterday to grab one more, I got them at Hobby Lobby. Maybe next year I’ll get my entire act together! Landscaping is also still on the to-do list, it’s just too hot to plant anything right now here in Virginia.
We will be celebrating at my parent’s house later today so most of my party decor is being packed up. Vintage coke crates are an easy way to transfer party supplies and still look cute.
This was my Memorial Day tablescape but it’s appropriate for today too. I love any excuse to use my collection of blue and white china.
Happy 4th of July everyone. We celebrate our freedom today because of the sacrifice of so many brave men and women, we are grateful!

Beautiful, Amy! I love any excuse for red, white and blue. My heart goes out to Christy, too. We moved last year over the 4th. I don’t wish it on anyone. Happy 4th!
