My very talented friend, Ashly, has graciously shared her home with us twice in the past on our holiday home tour. If you missed those posts, here is her 2016 tour and here is her 2017 tour. When I shared her 2017 tour, she had just completed this project in her laundry room, but since I had an entire house of holiday goodness to show you, I only showed a few photos of it. A few days ago she allowed me to come over and photograph her laundry room closet in detail.
The laundry area is off of her open kitchen/den area and originally had bifold panel doors. Ashly and her dad built the barn doors themselves using pressure treated lumber and the supplies were under $100 apiece (if you’ve priced them premade then you know it’s much cheaper to DIY them!)

The eventual plan is to stain them using a dark mahogany stain; she originally thought about painting them white but decided there’s already too much white in the room.
The awesome brass handle is thrifted–isn’t that a great find?
The folding counter is so handy; I’ve had one in previous houses and really miss it. (Amy shared how to DIY one in {this} post.)

The best news is that Ashly is in for this year’s holiday home tour; I’m already looking forward to it!
Thanks for letting me share your space, friend.
Have a great weekend, everyone, and thanks for stopping by!
