We’ve so enjoyed getting to know Krystine of Krystine Edwards Design over the past few months. She pretty much does it all—she’s a mom, real estate agent, designer, and blogger (among other things). Despite this somewhat intimidating list of credentials, she’s as wonderful as she can be, and we’re thrilled to welcome her here today!
(Just a quick PS that I’ve added the Rafflecopter widget for our newest giveaway at the bottom of the post–it’s a HomeRight SteamMachine Plus that will come in SO handy as you clean your house for the holidays). Now, here’s Krystine:
Morning friends! I am so excited to be sharing my Christmas home tour with you all today! I love the holidays and do my best to make it extra special for my family. I truly try and decorate almost every room with the exception of the bathrooms.
So without further ado I would like to welcome you to my home for the holidays!
Our exterior we keep traditional and simple. We have a great front porch and try and keep the focus on it.
Inside you walk into our entry. I love decorating with ornaments, personal art we’ve created and Santas. I’m starting to collect them, so far I have three!
Next to our entry is our formal living room and that’s where we keep our tree. We get a real one each year and it makes us so happy!
I love wreaths as well! I have several throughout my home.
The nativity set was given to my youngest by mother in law. He loves putting it up each year. We also framed his art from 2 years ago and it still makes me smile every time I pull it out of the bin.
One final special place in my formal living room is our chest of drawers. On it I have photos from each year with Santa. It’s so fun to see how much the boys have grown each year and how they react to santa too!
Our dining room did not get much love this year. We don’t host anyone and currently it’s become a temporary storage room until we move into our master bedroom here shortly.
We spend a lot of time in our den and since it isn’t spacious enough for a Christmas tree, I thought this year it would be fun to have two small trees on each side of the fireplace.
The stockings are my favorite! I purchased these 2 years ago locally and they just have a simple but lovely look to them!
Our mantel gets love, too, with nutcrackers, garland and ornaments!
In the den we have a large mirror, the way the light from the star reflects on it makes the room glow and so happy!
I love Christmas pillows and keep them in a bin as well! And, my end tables get a little love too!
Finally, in the den are my built-ins. They are the perfect place to hang those wreaths I mentioned I loved!
I keep our kitchen pretty simple with a wreath on the window and Christmas trees on the island.
The boys get lights and mini trees of course! I love checking in on them to see them staring at their lights. I know it makes them so happy!
Finally, our screened porch is where I let loose last year and brought out some fun bright colors!
Thanks for visiting our home for the holidays! Merry Christmas!

Krystine, I loved your tour! I think the shop with the garland around the door and the lighted star is my favorite, or the kitchen, or the porch, or the boys’ room… it’s all so fun!

So enjoyed the “tour”…. absolutely cozy and stunning at the same time…. There were so many items I loved…. Did you make the pillow with the station wagon with tree on top? If not – do you remember where you purchased it? Thanks much –

Janice–
I’m pretty sure that Krystine bought that pillow at Target this year–I saw it there a few weeks ago, although it’s sold out now. Pottery Barn usually does a version of the pillow with the car/tree on top. So cute! 🙂
