Somehow it will be September 1st next week, which means fall is just around the corner. Starbucks already has Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Hobby Lobby is getting Christmas decor out, so that means summer is pretty much over which always makes me a little sad.
Life moves on though (and like some of you probably agree, 2020 can’t move on fast enough for me) so I am turning my thoughts to fall things and trying to get excited about what is next. The coziness of the fall season and the fun of something new to decorate for goes a long way toward uplifting me, especially right now, so I always try to celebrate each new season in our home.
I contribute seasonal decor ideas to a local publication here in Northern Virginia, so I am working on what I’ll do for them as well as for our upcoming Fall Home Tour (going live mid-September). I will say that next to Christmas, fall decor might be the most fun! Today I wanted to share some of the inspiration I found online as well as my favorite picks for fall.
This mat with the slogan “Hey There Pumpkin” has been around for a few years, but I have never seen it for this price. I couldn’t resist getting one (you can use the coupon code WEB20 to save 20% too right now.) along with the pretty wreath below.
I love copper for fall, there is nothing like the warmth of it and it blends perfectly with any decor. This copper tray from Hearth + Hand at Target would be perfect with a few candles, baby white pumpkins and some leaves as an easy centerpiece.
Nothing says Fall like soup simmering on the stove, enamel cast iron soup pots can be very pricey. This one is less than $100 (on sale) and I love the pretty gray color.
I have been on the hunt for an affordable soup tureen, they look so pretty displayed in a hutch or of course, for serving and came across this simple white porcelain one. The price is very reasonable and it is 3.5 quarts which would be just about the right size for serving.
I apologize in advance that you might, as I often do, get sucked into this floral site for hours on end. Not only do they have the prettiest faux florals (something that has definitely returned as being ‘ok’ in the decor world) but they have beautiful vases and accessories. Don’t miss the compotes and bowl selection here, also they have a selection of pretty gold candle holders which look beautiful on a table en masse.
These woven baskets aren’t necessarily just for fall, and they are such a great price you could use them anywhere. They come in several sizes, but the large filled with some throws would make a nice addition to any room as the weather gets colder.
I like to switch out my throw pillows seasonally and am thinking about color combinations to use for this year. This textured pillow is less than $15 and would mix in nicely with other warmer tones.
Another pillow I adore is this floral one, I think the colors are so pretty especially with the pops of blush. Sadly, it isn’t shipping until October so it won’t work for my deadlines but maybe someone else can enjoy it!
This also isn’t exclusively for fall but I saved this to share it with you all the next opportunity so I wanted to include it today. I found this large jar at HomeGoods last spring and I love it, I came across it available on Amazon and wanted to pass it along. These large jars are hard to come by especially at a reasonable price, you can get one for yourself here if you have been looking!
