Sometimes, around Valentine’s Day, you just need a FAST gift idea that doesn’t involve chocolate–not that there’s anything wrong with chocolate! I feel like we’ve just come off a solid three months of overindulgence, though, and so a non edible goodie or two is a nice thing.
I made these boxes of lavender-scented bath salts to give as favors at a meeting I’m hosting at the end of the week. They’d be a great gift idea for coworkers, teachers, or neighbors, too!
The mini take-out boxes were 3 for $0.80, which was a pretty fantastic deal, at the stationery/paper outlet not too far from us.
While we have several recipes–and they’re simple, I promise–here on the blog to make homemade bath salts, I was in a bit of a hurry and so I used these bath salts that I found at Target:
I did add the lavender buds because I think they make it much prettier. If you feel like making your own salts, see our recipes {here} and {here}.
I tied each plastic bag with baker’s twine and packed them away in the boxes.
And here they are, ready to be given away:
So, do y’all have any great non-candy gift ideas for Valentine’s Day? I’m always looking for new ideas!
Thanks for stopping by!
