Do you guys even decorate for Valentine’s Day? I’ll admit that some years I skip it altogether since it seems like by the time I take the Christmas decorations down I have lost the will to live and can’t bring myself to drag out the Valentine’s Day ones.
I limited myself to a few small items this year, and of course the red that I put out at Christmas works well through February 14th, too.
A few paper straws and a rose topiary hang out with the vintage decanters on the bar.

I found these darling “Be Mine” paper banners at HomeGoods and I am a total sucker for banners (I had about ten different ones up at Christmas), so it’s hanging out over my fireplace. See what I did there?!
Diana is wearing a VERY LARGE statement necklace of pink roses, too!
We usually have candy in at least one apothecary jar in our living room. My kids are so used to it that they hardly ever eat it (my husband and I are another story, though!).

| Dresser: roadside rescue | Tufted nailhead recliner |
Best of all, our camellias are blooming after the recent cold snap!
I’m providing the decor for our school’s black-tie Valentine’s Day fundraiser–it’s this Friday and it’s been keeping me busy! I’ll be sharing photos and details next week since I came up with quite a few ways to decorate on a nonprofit budget and want to share them. (UPDATE: see that post here)

Have a Happy Heart Day, and thanks for stopping by!

Love all the little touches. Now that the girls aren’t home, I really don’t do much for the smaller holidays. LOVE the new blog look and profile pics of you both!!
I love all of your decorations! So pretty!
I bought myself from fresh flowers at the grocery store ($3 each bundle!) and a couple decorative item. I had planned a Valentine Brunch for friends I used to work with, however, I’ve been ill and had to postpone until the 27th. I like your touches, especially Diana’s necklace and the banner! 🙂
Hope you have a fun weekend!

P.S. Obviously, I can’t type or spell today ~ sorry! 🙂
