I came across this roundup and thought it was really fun (and interesting!). As usual, I am wondering how we ever got along without Amazon? These products below are the top sellers for the year on Amazon in the beauty category, some of them I had to try for myself once I read the list. I thought I’d share the list with you all too for fun today! As we gear up to the new year, I know I am not the only one looking for some ways to be “improved” in 2019.
The first item is Indian Healing Clay, with over 2000 reviews this is the number one item in the best sellers category and I’d never even heard of it. It has a cult following apparently! It is a deep pore cleansing mask and is supposedly a miracle worker especially for acne prone skin. I ordered some for my teens, I’ll report back 🙂 It is just $11, shipped.
The next one is a Vitamin C Serum, with over 10,000 reviews, it is only $20 which is a great price for this type of product. My skin is pretty sensitive but at this price, I may have to give it a try! It says “Amazon customers…rave about brighter, fresher looking skin, improved tone and clarity, smaller pores, less breakouts, fine lines and dark spots”…I admit I am intrigued! Looks like you can click the $1 off coupon right now too to save a little bit more.
Interestingly enough, I just bought myself this rechargeable toothbrush. I am sure this is ranking high right now since it is a popular Christmas gift (I think we even shared it in a gift guide!). My dentist just recommended switching to an electric one and holy moly, huge difference in how clean my teeth feel. Hopefully I’ll spend less time getting dental cleanings in 2019 🙂
This one was so interesting to me. This product also has almost 20,000 reviews, it is a natural teeth whitening powder, Activated Coconut Charcoal Powder. I also have this in my cart to try. It’s probably more affordable than the white strips and looks to be gentler on your teeth.
These facial razors have been getting a lot of buzz on social media and at just $5 I highly recommend giving them a try. I had my face dermaplaned at a spa a few years ago and remember getting tons of compliments on my skin afterward. If you aren’t familiar, these gentle razors basically shave your face to remove baby hairs, dry skin etc. They also make it super simple to keep your eyebrows neat, just be careful not to overdo it and shave off part of your brows 🙂 I find them super easy to use and my makeup goes on flawlessly after I use one. Just $5 too!
I just ordered this Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Tonic to try. This was brought to my Favorite Things party as one of the gifts and it got rave reviews all around. Apparently, it’s great for your skin and smells lovely in the rose blend. This size bottle would probably last forever too.
I started using Beauty Blenders to apply my foundation earlier this year and am hooked, so I can see why these are a top seller. There are a ton of different ones on Amazon to select from, so it’s helpful to see that this packaged set is a best seller. If you aren’t familiar, you just wet one of these small sponges and use it to blend in your foundation (or concealer). It makes it look much more natural, and I think makes the whole process go much faster.
This eye gel is the number one best seller in the “eye treatments” category and has over 13,000 reviews. This also looks like one giving a try, it is less than $20 (be sure to clip the $5 off coupon offered right now!).
I am not surprised to see this next item on the top of the best sellers list. My husband swears this TheraBreath Oral Rinse is the best mouthwash ever and this also was brought to my Favorite Things party as a gift. This is slightly pricey for mouthwash but word on the street is that if you use it, it works for 24 hours. This is worth giving a try!
I haven’t tried this brand yet but was interested to see this Cleansing Balm is also a best seller. At just $16, it may give the gold standard (this amazing cleansing balm here) a run for its money. I love that these products remove makeup without drying your skin out like most cleansers do, this one is worth taking note of for sure.
While this list is constantly changing (you can see more items here), it is fun to get new ideas and find some affordable alternatives to luxury beauty items. Have you tried any of these? I’d love to hear in the comments!
