It is getting to be that time of year! I always feel like once Halloween hits it is just a whirlwind until Christmas/New Years is suddenly upon us. We are just days away (Monday, in fact) from launching our annual Printable Holiday Planner so you can get organized for the holidays but since today is Amazon Prime Day, I thought we’d go ahead and share not only some great gift ideas but a (free) printable gift list to help you if you are ready to get started on your holiday shopping.

There are a ton of great deals over at Amazon right now. I know this year more than ever I’ll be doing most of my shopping online. As a prime member everything ships free so it is easy to knock out gift buying. Getting ahead of the game will make a big difference in both your budget and how much time you have to actually enjoy the holidays so this sale is a great time to start shopping.

For the last four years we have designed a printable Holiday Planner with 22 pages of worksheets to help you organize for the coming holidays. That will be available again this year at 7AM EST on Monday, October 19th (UPDATE: DOWNLOAD YOUR COPY HERE).
I wanted to make sure you all could start your gift lists ahead if you were shopping Prime Day, so below you can download a printable Gift List (this the very same one that is page one and two of the actual planner!). Simply enter your email and click Send It My Way!
Here are some of best gift ideas that are currently discounted for Prime Day if you are ready to start shopping. There is a Buy Two, Get One Free deal I actually took advantage of yesterday, because I have a weakness for cookbooks. I love to cook, and Kristin Cavalleri’s new book was recommended (it is all sugar/gluten-free) and if you order it, plus another book in the promotion, you can get a third one FREE. This isn’t limited to cookbooks, there are 1200 items in this deal, I just used it as an excuse to get some cookbooks that have been on my wish list. This would be great way to get some gifts knocked out by taking advantage of the free bonus item.
This isn’t just on cookbooks, you can also stock up on design books. The ones that look pretty on your coffee table after you have perused them, you can see all the choices here. Once you load three in your cart (that qualify) you will see the third one is free. Courtney’s book (below) is always a favorite!
Here are some of my favorite Prime Day items. Alexa is so useful, we often use the timers and the alarms among the other features. I have these Echo Dots in my kids’ rooms. This allows me to have custom alarms set for them in the morning. They get to listen to music and I can even “make an announcement” like telling them dinner is ready. At less than $20 this is a great price to stock up. I switched over to several of the Echo Show devices last year, I have one in my bathroom (so useful for knowing the weather, keeping track of the time, playing music etc.) and one in my kitchen for news, music and recipes. The Echo Show also communicates with the Echo Dot (above).
This is a great price on what is usually a hot and hard to find item at the holidays. Wireless Air Pods work with your phone or iPad and make listening to music, a podcast or video so easy. They also make all our car trips so much more enjoyable as everyone can listen to their own thing.
I can’t believe that this TV is only $119 for a 32″ Smart TV. My husband and I were just saying that if you have an older TV and are paying for cable this would probably pay for itself!
Finally Ring Doorbells are on sale for the lowest price I have seen, now is the time to get one before all your holiday packages start getting left on your doorstep. Also, at the top of my wish list is a iRobot Roomba vacuum, I know that Christy loves hers! Today and tomorrow they are $100 off!

I always enjoy seeing Oprah’s Favorite Things each holiday, you can see them listed, and many are on sale, on Amazon HERE.
While Christy and I made the decision to stop sharing so much Amazon Fashion earlier this year, I did want to share the better deals in clothing I saw for gift buying purposes. Under Armor (which is hard to find on discount) is part of the Prime sale HERE. For the athletes in your life there are so many good deals, like the shorts and the slides and this backpack. I am stocking up for Christmas gifts. Note that for some of the items you may have to select a size and add to cart for the discount.

I noticed that this V-Neck Amazon Essentials sweater is only $13 (!) it comes in a ton of colors. I wear this beige all the time, this sweater is great quality for the price.

Speaking of clothes, not to be outdone other retailers are jumping on the sale train this week. Nordstrom announced another 25% off clearance. Items are going quickly but there are some great deals. I have my eye on these lace-up waterproof boots, and this pink cardigan (I love this, I wore it yesterday it is super soft!) is just $29. You can see all the sale items HERE.
I’ll be adding in more good deals as I see them, there really is quite a bit to choose from. Be sure to check back Monday AM (or subscribe to our weekly newsletter below) for the full Holiday Planner!
