While yes, a part of me feels like it is too early to talk about the holidays, I also know that time speeds up at this point in the year. Retailers are moving their calendars up in hopes of capturing early buyers. This is a big week as far as sales go, I am beginning my holiday shopping which helps with budgeting not to mention keeping life sane in December, so I wanted to share a few of the best deals. Today is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, which means they have put some of their more popular items on sale. It’s a great time to grab some gifts while the items are discounted. You do have to be an Amazon Prime member, and if you aren’t already you can grab a free 30 day trial here.
Here are the deals I thought were worth sharing.
I bought this Bissel Portable Cleaner the last time Amazon had a big sale like this and it has become my go-to cleaner, especially with pets. It works great on our furniture, to spot clean rugs and I even use it in my car. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up a ton of space for storage. It’s less than $100 right now here.
Both Christy and I have this coffeemaker and we both will tell you it’s great. You can use it to make one cup with a single-serve K cup, or make an entire pot of coffee. It doesn’t take up a ton of counter space and it keeps the coffee hot for hours. My favorite part might be that it is ready almost instantly, you don’t have to wait for it to heat up. It’s on sale here for the best price I have seen, much less than I paid for it, for us it has been worth every penny.
Most of what’s currently in my Amazon cart is related to cooking, since now that my primary focus is developing a website about healthy eating and wellness, so I instantly noticed that Vitamix is on serious sale today and tomorrow. I purchased mine 8 years ago and it’s going strong, and I use it every day to make my daily smoothie. It’s amazing how powerful these machines are. This model is a great price for this brand right now, if you have been waiting to invest in a Vitamix, this may be the best time.
We were even joking about a Salad Spinner this weekend, because it’s something you think you don’t need until you have one. I love that I can chop and wash and batch of lettuce, dry it and keep it in this spinner and use as needed throughout the week. It greatly increases my chances of making a salad since the lettuce is dry, washed and ready to go. It’s cheaper to buy whole heads of lettuce (and I think fresher tasting) than the pre-chopped most of the time anyway, so this kind of pays for itself. Again, this is the cheapest right now I have seen it here.
There are several brands of printed tablecloths on sale today, if you are hosting Thanksgiving this is a great opportunity to get one at a discount. I love this beautiful green print, there are more to choose from here too.
Along the same lines, how pretty are these printed napkins for Thanksgiving? On sale right now. I love them, and they come in a set of four.
I don’t really need these mugs but they still have been in my shopping cart for weeks! They are so cute with the lid and the spoon and I love the vintage glass look. This entire set is less than $20 right now, it would also be great to use for individual teacher’s gifts paired with a coffee gift card.
If you have your eye on a Frame TV they are on sale today here, and they include the bezel (something I wish we had) which is a nice upgrade. We have ours over the fireplace and I admit it’s really nice to not look at a big black box when it’s not in use.
Amazon has discounted quite a bit of their “fashion” which has really come a long way. This nice, fleece men’s pullover is $17-$24 depending on the color, so I am going to grab a few for gifts. You can see all the fashion on sale here.
I noticed a lot of the popular women’s sweaters are part of the sale, like this turtleneck, just be sure to click through the colors as not all of them show the discount. Also, in some cases there are additional coupons to reduce the price even more. This popular coat-style cardigan is the best price I have seen it.
These water (or beer) glasses were a big hit when I gave them out last Christmas, the Stanley brand is always very popular and this pint-glass version of the popular big-handled cup works nicely for a gift for a man.
This probably isn’t high on anyone’s gift list but I am sharing it today because it is the primary item I am shopping for during the sale. Both my boys are at college, and my son’s dorm was built 50-plus years ago. The air quality is poor, not to mention the challenge of keeping him healthy over the winter in tight living quarters. My other son just moved into an older home off-campus that has the telltale musty smell of mold. With all the wildfires this summer and declining air quality overall, an air filter even in just your bedroom can make a big difference in your overall health. There are a lot of brands out there, I’ll be sharing more soon in my health newsletter, but this one is a good deal.
