So, we’re now officially in my favorite season–fall–and even the weather here is cooperating a little bit! We’ve had a few days that have been perfect “convertible weather” with low humidity and blue skies, and you’d better believe I’ve taken advantage of it.
Today I’m sharing some of my recent summer-to-fall transitional favorites from Amazon fashion, and at the end I’m also sharing a few non-fashion favorites, too. I’ll link direct sources under each photo, but all of the Amazon products are also in our Amazon shop. Some of my basic pieces are from other stores and I’ll link to them where I can, too.
I started with six tops and spent about $120 total for all of them, which is pretty reasonable. By far, my favorite piece was this color block open cardigan:
It was around $32 so it was the most expensive piece I bought, but the quality is excellent. I’m wearing a small in the dark gray. I did exchange it for the khaki which has a khaki stripe on top, then the cream and the light gray, because I think it will work better with the peep toe booties I bought at the N Sale.
If you buy one thing from this post, this is the one!
My second favorite piece was this tie-front top (shown in light blue). It was under $22 and is universally flattering, in my opinion. I’m in a small and think it runs a bit big. I ordered it in wine red, too, so I can wear it to the parents’ weekend football game at my son’s school, and I’m tempted to order it in black, too. Overkill?
I wear my white jeans year-round, although usually with darker tops during the truly cold months. Here’s the top with darker jeans:
I also paired this with my leopard pumps and my peep toe booties; and I think it also matches perfectly with the Hermés scarf that was last year’s birthday gift.
Next up is this white top with gold embroidery; I think it will only be appropriate to wear in early fall given the colors, but I loved it online and wanted to see if the reality matches up to the online images. Good news–it does!
I forgot to take a picture of me wearing it, but it’s true to size (I bought a small). If you’re between sizes, maybe go up since the fabric isn’t stretchy. I need a white cami underneath mine since the neckline is a bit low. Definitely worth it for $19.99!
Before I move on to the next three pieces I tried, let me just mention that I love this lariat necklace I bought from Amazon a few months ago for around $30. It’s great quality and so versatile; I have the gold but it also comes in silver and rose gold. It’s definitely worth it if you’re looking for something similar.

OK, now here are three more pieces that are hugely popular. I wound up not keeping them but they might work for one of you!
This leopard T shirt is everywhere; it comes in a variety of styles (V-neck, crew neck, long and short sleeves, and a couple of different colors of leopard print).
I almost kept this, because I knew it would be a good layering piece. I would size up if you’re considering this (I fit in a small but prefer a slightly looser fit). The fabric is nice quality, too. I sent it back because my closet is teeny right now and I’m trying not to keep anything that I don’t 100% love, no matter how great a deal it is.
I also returned this color block knot top:
It comes in a variety of colors and long and short sleeves. I’m wearing a medium:
I returned it because I felt like the line between the blue and the beige hit right across my chest in a not-so-flattering way. Maybe if I had sized down to a small it would have hit a little higher and I would have liked it better. Plenty of people love it, though, because it’s a bestseller.
The last piece I ordered was this red printed top:
This one comes in six different colors and they’re all so pretty; it was hard to choose! The quality is good and I am in a small (it’s really flown and loose so you could size down). I love the details like the tassels at the neck tie. I almost kept it but again, I have to be really choosy right now!
The last things I want to share aren’t fashion-related but are definitely favorites. First, this is the new lightweight carry on luggage at our house:
My husband and I have been putting the Chester Minima carryon through its paces over the past month and it has held up beautifully. It’s lightweight, durable, and the wheels roll as smooth as butter. I wanted the pink but figured he wouldn’t want to carry that on his trips (ha!) so we got the charcoal instead. If you’re looking for a new carryon bag, definitely check this one out.

If you saw this towel my husband brought me from a trip to Dallas on our Instagram stories, I’ve found a source to buy it online…and it’s Amazon. It’s only $14 and would make a great hostess gift!
Last but not least, I’ve bought several of these brass lamp finials and they really make any lamp look better for under $11.| Finial |
Please let me know if you have any questions that I didn’t answer about the different pieces, and thanks for stopping by.
