The Master Bedroom Part 2

Today I thought I’d share a few more photos of the master bedroom at the MCC House, plus my source list.  You can see my first post on it {here}.

When you come up the steps to the second floor, my office space is to the left of the mirror, and the bedroom is to the right.

Behind the door with the boxwood wreath is my closet/storage area.  Closets tend to be small or nonexistent in older homes, so I’ve got a few hanging racks in there, plus my dresser.

I’ll show you my office area another time, it tends to get a bit messy because it’s where I work on all of my Etsy orders.

The hardwood floors are old heart pine; I’m really enjoying having floors the same color as all the dog hair!

In the bedroom area, I pulled together pieces that were previously in the office and living room at our old house (the furniture always fits a bit differently from one house to another!).

The old sewing chest that was bright orange when I found it at a thrift shop got a coat of Rust-Oleum’s Berry Pink {see that post here}, and now is my nightstand.

 

I found this sweet Limoges tray in Tennessee; that was the same trip where I found the floor length gold mirror.

 The brass swing arm sconces were about $1 each at the thrift shop, and I added shades from Wal-mart.  Easy!

 The bedding has been collected from several different stores (sources are at the end of the post), and while it’s almost time to update it, I haven’t found anything I like better yet.

 

 

 The IKEA chandelier comes in silver, and I wanted gold, so I removed all the crystals and spray painted it with my favorite gold spray paint.

 

 

 

 Here’s another thrifted gold mirror (it’s a sickness, I tell you!).
