Last weekend at the Haven conference, we enjoyed this fun green drink while we were hanging out at the Southern Living Plant Collection Booth.  Often on Fridays we bring you a favorite cocktail at our “It’s 5 o’clock at Magnolia Lane” series, but today we wanted to change it up and bring you a non-alcoholic drink for those of you who prefer “mock-tails” {non-alcoholic}.
The Southern Living Plant collection had a fabulous display at the Haven Conference, and they shared this drink from the archives of Southern Living magazine with all the thirsty conference attendees.  They had the cutest display, you can see how great their booth was behind the drink dispenser, the plants were gorgeous!

When I got home, I decided to recreate this drink for our series.  While I made it strictly by the recipe you could always switch the Ginger Ale for champagne should you decide to change it over to a “cocktail” type drink.  Otherwise, the ingredients are pretty straightforward, just lemonade, pineapple juice, ginger ale, blue lemonade (for the green color) and water and sugar.

You can find the entire recipe here on Southern Living.

It’s a perfect drink for a summer day and would be lovely at a summer shower or garden party. The bright green color is fun and it’s quite tasty.

My little helper couldn’t get enough 🙂

Thanks so much to the Southern Living Plant collection for sharing this with us at Haven last week.

Happy weekend, and ENJOY! XO,
