Good morning everyone. I think it is good that, thanks to daylight savings time, I have been awake since 5AM east coast time (ugh) since I have so much to share today! I am sure we won’t be the only ones making early church today, it will be good to get ahead of the game today 🙂 We’ve already had a really full weekend, with tons more we need to accomplish today so I am grateful for the extra hour.
Today’s post was scheduled to be the official “launch” post for the 2017 Holiday Planner, but I talked so much about it in the 5 Ways to Tame the Holiday Crazy post and there is more information HERE, plus there is so much else I want to share, I decided I would just touch on it again today.
If you are new here, the last few years I have felt so overwhelmed trying to get all the holiday stuff done and still be able to actually enjoy the holidays that I developed a 20-page printable planner. This is the perfect time to get your plan in place so you are prepared for the holiday madness–the gifts, outfits, decorating etc. –and for those of you who don’t like the idea of a paper planner, here’s my best tip. After you create your gift list (or the other lists), snap a picture of it with your phone. That way when you are out and about you can pull up your photos and refer back to it all season long.
The printable planner is just $5 and available HERE. If you prefer it all nicely bound in gold with the black floral cover, the printed version is $15 and available HERE, it will be mailed to you within a few days.
You can read all about the planner and order it HERE. The quick list of all the worksheets that are included is below.
Here’s to an organized holiday everyone!
Moving on to all the good stuff on sale right now…. Nordstrom started their Fall sale this week, and they have some great deals on jeans {tons to choose from}, moto jackets, and this purse just might be the number 1 thing on my list to Santa, though the black is already sold out, so these are going fast. This pea coat is an amazing deal at less than $40, this long ribbed cardigan is less than $30 and of course, my favorite boots are still on sale just to name a few of the deals that caught my eye.

Loft is also having a sale on sweaters, I wanted to quickly mention it because I was thinking I needed to talk to you about how much I am wearing this sweater vest. Sometimes I buy things and I think I’ll wear them constantly, then they just hang in my closet. This has been the one thing I keep grabbing, like every day because it’s cozy, perfect for our current in between weather and of course, I think it looks cute on 🙂
Also, I have this wrap sweater in blush, and got a ton of compliments on it the first time I wore it. Sincere, like– where did you buy that?!– compliments, and since it is only $20 it’s worth mentioning. I can see this sweater paired with my leopard pumps and a pearl statement necklace as my holiday go-to outfit. {Also, apparently there is a stackable code if you have a loft card, try FESTIVE40 for additional discounts.}
Moving from fashion talk to home decor talk, if you haven’t heard Joanna Gaines has a Magnolia line at Target. The holiday dropped this week…seriously, such great stuff! I love this galvanized lantern, this brass candle holder, and this sweet pillow. She does such a good job with her brand, I don’t know how they are doing it all but they do it well.
Finally, I feel like a controversy is breaking out between those of us that are ready to decorate for the holidays and those that are die-hard after Thanksgiving people. Since I had to decorate for Fall for some sponsorships back in August, I admit I am ready for a change. My son is insisting that we shouldn’t start until after Thanksgiving, but I am not sure how long I’ll be able to resist!
I went to the Luckett’s Holiday Open House (if you aren’t familiar, this is a popular vintage market about an hour outside Washington DC) with my girl Terry on Friday and while it was definitely crowded, there was so much great stuff. I came home with a ton of new holiday decorations and all sorts of decorating inspiration.
My favorite find, which was literally in the first booth we went to, was this vintage sled, which will get decorated and used to adorn our porch this holiday. There were quite a few sleds for sale, many in better condition but this one had something special–see the “AMY” marked on it? I mean, it had my name on it… I don’t know what little girl owned it but I felt like it was meant to be! I also got a vintage brass champagne chiller (I know!) that I’ll show you soon, see why I can’t wait to decorate?!
I should run and get ready for church, but I hope you all have a really lovely Sunday!
