It has been such a fun week seeing all the beautiful decor on the Rooms We Love Tour hosted by Tammy of Pink Peppermint Designs, if you missed any of the spaces they are all linked at the end. There is so much inspiration in these beautiful homes, and welcome to everyone coming over from Green Spring Home.
Today is our day to share for the tour, and I am excited to show you some pictures of our bedroom in our current {rental} home. I mentioned in our post about our move and new build, that I wasn’t going to show off too much of this home. It’s really just a soft place for us to land (thanks to the gracious owners) until construction is complete this summer. Not to mention, being here for just six months, I am not putting too much energy into decorating.
When we toured this house, I immediately loved the master bedroom. I wish I had the exact paint color to share because it’s the perfect greige, but unfortunately, I don’t know what it is. It’s close to BM Moonshine if I had to guess, and it is a bit more gray than it looks thanks to the clouds the day I took photos. While most of this house just has our essentials while we are here this spring, I spruced up our space a little bit so I could show it to you today. Of course, this room doesn’t really have all the bells and whistles it would if this was our permanent home, but our previous decor fit in nicely with just a few new updates.
It seems like ‘blush’ is the hot color this winter, so heading into Valentine’s Day (when I took these pictures) it seemed only natural that I should add that in our bedroom. It goes nicely with our gray headboard (it’s a great deal and available HERE) and my monogrammed Ballard Designs bedding. You can see all our previous bedroom decor HERE. This room is why I almost always use a neutral base when decorating, it is so easy to switch things up when you are ready for a change as a few new pillows and a throw was all it took for a different look in here.
I have had some leopard pillows on my wish list, so I treated myself to some to use in here for now and will probably move them to the living room in our new house. I searched ETSY and settled on these, I liked the less obtrusive tones in this pattern. The large pink velvet bolster came from HomeGoods, along with the soft blush throw, finding those two things was all it took to spur on the pink additions in the space. My daughter is already staking claim to the pillow for her room next 🙂
My husband was in need of a new nightstand, so we settled on this one, and it is definitely nice quality for the price. I love the rustic gray tones of it, I think I may update the hardware to something a little more substantial when he isn’t paying attention. If you are wondering how he feels about having pink in his bedroom, trust me in that he hasn’t even noticed the changes, outside of asking me how many pillows is too many on the bed. 🙂
I added the blush pink roses {on top of the devotional I am really enjoying} and that pretty much completed the space. This room doesn’t have curtain rods so there wasn’t much I could do for the windows, but that is life in a rental, you just make the best of what you have.
In looking at these pictures, I realize how perfect this pink rug {the one I mentioned in the Friday Favorites post last week} would be in here. I am still trying to come up with the perfect spot in our new home to justify buying it, possibly in my office. We’re still waiting on the ground to be broken on our house, I am starting to get a little anxious that it won’t be done in the June timeframe we are hoping for, so nothing new to share there.
