Hi There! I’m Mallory and I blog over at Charming in Charlotte where I share DIY, decor, and style tips and tricks. I’m so happy to be here with the darling gals at 11 Magnolia Lane today sharing one of my favorite organization projects to hopefully help you get and stay organized this new year.

I have a jewelry hoarding problem. There I said it. If it’s sparkly, shiny, or dangly, I’m most likely taking it home with me. A few months back I found myself wearing the same baubles over and over, mainly because the rest of my pieces were so unorganized that I wasn’t able to see them. I decided that before I bought one more piece of jewelry, that I must come up with an organization solution that was open, visible, and sorted by type. Can you imagine how quickly I got to work on this project?!

After some thought and planning, I came up with a super easy DIY jewelry organizer that was inexpensive and super functional. Here’s how to make one for yourself:

Here’s what you need to make your own:

It started with a basic piece of plywood that I sanded, primed and painted. I then added the various hooks according to what I wanted them to hang, while I used the closed eye hooks to run thin dowel rods through and used to hang earrings. The bracelet holder was built using galvanized pipe and PVC pipe and was simply spray painted to match.

To read all about the project from start to finish, head over to the original blog post HERE for a full breakdown of the details.

Thanks, ladies for having me on the blog today! I hope that if you have a bit of a jewelry hoarding problem like yours truly here that this will motivate you to get your beautiful baubles organized!

Cheers to 2015 and I surely hope that you will stop by Charming in Charlotte and say hello some time soon!

Thanks, Mallory!  How cool is that project?
