Today, we’re so happy to welcome Janis, who blogs at All Things Beautiful. Amy and I were lucky enough to meet her at the Haven Conference last August, and we were so excited when she said she’s join us for this series. Here’s Janis:
I am thrilled to share my Jewelry Organizer project here at 11 Magnolia Lane. What perfect timing for getting the house in order! The organization gene did NOT get passed down to me, so I have to rely on others who have that skill to help me along.
Operation: Organization to the rescue!
My daughter’s room had the perfect space to display a jewelry organizer.
I also picked up some 3/4″ cup hooks at Lowe’s.
You’ll need 15 total for one hanger. The hangers would be cute painted to match your decor, with added polka dots, or even a monogram, etc.
The options are endless here, so let your creativity flow!
I decided to mod podge some pieces of scrap fabric that coordinated with my daughter’s bedding.
I cut some flowers and leaves from the fabric and placed them where I wanted them. I used the gloss Mod Podge by first painting it on the hanger, then laying the fabric pieces on top.I applied a final coat of Mod Podge on top of the fabric and let it dry. It dries clear and glossy, so I put some all over the hanger, so the finish would be consistent.
Thank you for letting me share my version of an easy
Jewelry Organizer.
I look forward to getting organized with you, and can’t wait to see the other Operation: Organization ideas.
You can check out my other fun projects at All Things Beautiful.
Happy New Year and Happy Organizing!

What a great idea — and I thought you PAINTED on those beautiful flowers!!! Didn’t know until I scrolled down that they were Mod Podged fabric. Awesome. I’ll bet you could also find some beautiful paper napkins that would serve the same purpose. Thanks for the idea! *pin ~Sally @DrinkingFromMySaucer

Great idea with the napkins, Sally. Scrapbook paper and wrapping paper would work, too!

I love this cute idea! I am new to blogging and just posted about fashionably organizing jewelry. Is it okay that I linked this blog post in mine? Thanks so much for a wonderful idea!

I hope the textured wall is not the “popcorn” type that may contain asbestos – please be careful!
