Today I’m popping in quickly to mention that spring home tour week starts on Monday, and we’ll be participating along with 29 other bloggers. Our friend Marty at A Stroll Thru Life organizes this tour every season and I always get so much inspiration from it.
If you’d like a little inspiration ahead of next week, you can see all of our previous home tours {HERE}.
This will likely be my last home tour of our Stuttgart apartment since we’re moving back to the States in late August. Can you believe that two years went by so quickly?! We still don’t know where we’re going to live as my husband is retiring after 32 years of military service and we actually get to choose where they move us for the first time. I’m sure you all can appreciate that we’re having a hard time since we’ve never had this much autonomy before!
In other news, I finally went for a chest x-ray today to see if I have any broken ribs. Apparently my husband is getting tired of me whimpering during the night when I try to roll over in bed. Not that knowing they’re broken will do anything anyway since there’s no treatment, but at least I’ll have bragging rights.
In the meantime, I’m still able to function. For example, we’re going to Tongeren, Belgium this weekend for the big flea market. I have a list of treasures I’m hoping to find. Wish me luck!
Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by.

Congratulations on your husband’s retirement and the ability to CHOOSE for the first time in 32 years. It’s one of the reasons I follow the blog so I know where you finally land! 😉 Thank you to you and your husband for being such loyal patriots, and you ESPECIALLY as you never complain. It’s so admirable.
Best wishes!

Oh, Rebecca, I’ve complained hundreds of times in my head–I just try to never let those complaints exit through my mouth! Stiff upper lip and all that. You are so kind to say that, though. Thank you. I honestly can’t wait to find out where we land, either!

Congratulations on your husband’s retirement after 32 years! I’m sure it’s been a wild ride and I’ve enjoyed reading about your adventures through the few years I’ve followed. Thank you both for serving our country and yes, you served right along beside him.
Best Wishes to you as you decide where to land.

Thanks so much, Nita. There have definitely been some ups and downs along the way; but mostly good times thankfully. I think we are more than ready to settle down wherever the Lord leads us–can’t wait to find out where that is!

Wow, those two years really did fly by. Can’t wait to see were you guys land stateside. How fun, a whole new adventure ahead. Congratulations to your hubby on his retirement and to you too. I always think it’s two that are in the military, the wife as much as the hubby.

They sure did! I can’t wait to see where we wind up, either (ha!).
