My Home Office in the MCC House

Earlier this week, I showed you a quick way to embellish a lamp shade {see that post here} and promised I’d be back with more photos of my little home office in the MCC house.

The upstairs is an open space that we decided to make into a master suite.  My bedroom is up there, plus the office/sitting area, bathroom, and a storage room/closet.

If you follow us on Facebook, then you saw this frame that I snagged for $3 at the thrift shop:

The print inside was just a piece of cardboard, so I painted over it with chalkboard paint.  I absolutely love how it turned out!

While most of my work is done on my laptop, this is one of my favorite places to sit while I type.  The post on how I painted the chair is {here}.

I also spend a lot of time up here, working on orders for our Etsy shop.

I’ll admit that things are usually MUCH more cluttered in here, but isn’t that true of most houses?  The window treatments were already here and I’ll probably change them out at some point, but they work for now.

Trivia fact:  this is the only room in the house that’s carpeted.

 

I stash all of my vinyl and office supplies in this sweet little armoire.

 

The tiny plates on the wall are actually butter pat dishes–so cute!

I’ve had my Silhouette CAMEO for six years now and it’s still going strong.  I use it almost every single day.

 

I’m hoping to paint this space during the winter and change the window treatments to something more neutral, but it works for now.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
