I don’t think that makes me a slacker; after all, we had Memorial Day, then Flag Day, and now Independence Day. I’ll take it all down next week and go back to my lime green or pink color scheme {see those here and here}.
The DIY flag banner (bunting?) was a $3 project; the tutorial is {here}.
I had to pull down the candle chandelier, though. Our front porch has a western exposure and our candles just fall over and melt in the hot Savannah summers.
I added a new outdoor pillow in navy and white (from Home Goods).
My daughter and her friends use the porch more than anyone else, as you can see:
And Harley keeps a watchful eye on things in the ‘hood, and looks for opportunities to photo bomb my shots!
What’s your favorite way to decorate for the 4th?
P.S. If you’re planning a cookout for the holiday, see our ideas for that here and here. Enjoy the holiday!
Thanks for stopping by-

Our entry porch and front exterior are under siege at the moment, so no 4th fun this year. It was nice to see yours though! Very pretty.

Under siege doesn’t sound very fun. Is it a remodeling project? At least there will be a permanent improvement, if so!

Love it. Just right!
