My Fourth of July Front Porch

July 4th is right around the corner, and I’ve had my front porch decorated since Memorial Day!

I don’t think that makes me a slacker; after all, we had Memorial Day, then Flag Day, and now Independence Day.  I’ll take it all down next week and go back to my lime green or pink color scheme {see those here and here}.

The DIY flag banner (bunting?) was a $3 project; the tutorial is {here}.

Some years I hang the fan bunting–like this year–and other years I hang my two long flag banners.  Here they are on our porch at our Nashville house (you can see more of this porch here):

I had to pull down the candle chandelier, though.  Our front porch has a western exposure and our candles just fall over and melt in the hot Savannah summers.

I added a new outdoor pillow in navy and white (from Home Goods).

My daughter and her friends use the porch more than anyone else, as you can see:

And Harley keeps a watchful eye on things in the ‘hood, and looks for opportunities to photo bomb my shots!
