My daughter’s last fashion post on Lilly Pulitzer {see it here} was pretty popular, especially on Pinterest, so I asked her to do another one. After all, who knows better to what preteen girls like to wear than a preteen girl? And I always check her picks to be sure that they are modest enough that parents will approve, too.
I asked her to pick some of her favorites from MiniBoden since their items are all 15% off with free shipping right now. If you’re not familiar with the Boden brands, they’re British and known for their fun, colorful, and quirky prints. They last through several children, so they make great hand-me-downs for younger siblings. They also tend to keep their value, so if you buy and sell clothing at consignment sales or on Ebay, they’re a great brand to buy. Oh, and their women’s clothes are wonderful, too!

Annabelle is still liking coral, which she used on her last board, but she also added navy blue and aqua/teal as contrast colors. They all seem to mix and match nicely together, and I can’t decide if I like that darling polka dot print more or the pear print–both, I guess! This is a great spring/summer board, and based on their prices, this is the time to stock up for the warmer months.
As a bit of a review, we’ve had MiniBoden (and Johnnie B., their teen brand) swimsuits before, and they wear well during our long southern summers. Annabelle’s on her third season with some of them, and they just keep going. We’ve also purchased their coats before–they wash beautifully and they’re easy to pick out in a crowd because not everyone has one. Oh, and their terry (toweling) shorts are one of our favorites for summer, and I always buy several pairs. They make them in sweatpant-length, too, and those are great to pull on over her leotard and tights on her way to ballet five days a week.
I think she did a pretty good job of coming up with fun colors and patterns that mix and match well with each other–now, off to buy those polka dot shorts ASAP!
Thanks for stopping by!
