I painted my bedroom a few weeks ago, but what with all the fun of the holidays and our Open House series, I haven’t had an opportunity to show it to you.
Bottom line: I love the color!
I used Sherwin-Williams Comfort Gray, which has the blue-green undertones that I wanted for this space. I almost always use flat sheened paint; this was the HGTV Home Ovation paint that SW has available at Lowe’s now and it covered in one coat.
Just as a reminder, here’s what the room looked like when I started:
The laundry is a nice touch, right?
You can see that I tried a bit of the paint above the bed to make sure that it would work…since the bed is white {see that project here} and most of the other furniture is dark, I wanted to be sure it would flow with both. It does.

I’m still decorated for Christmas; we are expecting guests for New Year’s so I’ll probably take the decorations down on New Year’s Day, or maybe even wait until Epiphany. I just added a few touches in the bedroom, like this sweet snowflake garland:
| Mirror | Snowflake garland: HomeGoods |
| Pink throw: Lilly Pulitzer for Target |
I’ve had the bedding for a long time; it’s a mix and match of HomeGoods and IKEA. It’s probably time to look for a new set, or at least one to rotate during different seasons. I do love grays in the bedroom, though.

It took me awhile to get the room the way I wanted it, and like most spaces in my house it isn’t finished yet, but I posted about this cozy reading corner a few weeks ago {here}.
And for those of you who remember when I painted this gorgeous chair over two years ago, she’s still holding up great and looking lovely, don’t you think?

The view out of the French doors is to the sitting area on the deck and then the golf course (my husband’s favorite backyard view ever!).
I’m so pleased with how this room is coming along.
Much better, right? The two walk-in closets are next on the list; they are the same yellow-white that the bedroom was and I think it’s time to give them a coat of Comfort Gray–and a chandelier in my closet.

And here’s a random steal I wanted to share because it’s just so good: these black buffalo-check scarves are only $8.99 right now! I just bought three for a few upcoming birthdays on the calendar, and maybe even one for myself. Shop {here}.

Thanks so much, Blake. I know I need to update that IKEA set soon, but I just love it, too!
The pillow was from Target, but about three years ago. I just checked online for you just in case and it doesn’t look like they still carry it. Sorry. 🙁 It does fit the set perfectly.
