Remember last week, during my fall home tour, when I warned you that I was making a few changes (again) in our living room? Well, today is the day to show you what’s new, and I’m so excited about my latest finds!
I paired up with Walmart in August and shared the breakfast room/den/sunroom here at Magnolia Cottage? Here’s a quick refresher picture of how well it turned out:
You know how much I love my vintage blue velvet chair, but we needed a little more seating for guests in our living room since we just have a sofa in here instead of a sofa/loveseat pair. So the blue velvet chair is in the dining room now (and it fits in perfectly there), and I added these two black and white striped chairs flanking the fireplace:

I. Love. Them!! I had the hardest time deciding which color stripe to get since they also come in three other colors, two of which would also have worked in here, but ultimately I went with the ones that gave me heart eyes. The best news is that they are under $250 each with free shipping, so I was thrilled with the price, too.
By the way, the Greek key pillows are a DIY project; I bought the pillows (2 for $15!!) and the trim and used fabric glue to trim them out. Easy and inexpensive! Plus teal is one of my favorite nontypical fall colors to use.

The other new addition to the space is this round gold coffee table; I’ve been eyeing it forever and Walmart has the absolute best price I’ve found.

It gives us more space for drinks (and yes, to rest our feet on!) when we’re watching a movie.
Speaking of movies, today my beloved art frame TV is displaying Paul Cézanne’s Mont Sainte-Victoire with Large Pine; you know I like to change the art every few days. Fortunately I have unlimited options to choose from!
A few new throw pillows (can one ever have too many? Of course not!) and a cozy throw warm up the couch for fall. I am sitting here right now wrapped in the throw blanket as I type. Yes, it’s hot outside, but I run cold, especially in the air conditioning.
I’ve been really pleased with the shopping experience at Walmart. The selection is incredible (over 75 million items to choose from); the shipping is fast, careful, and free over $35; and of course the prices are everything you expect from Walmart. If you need to return an item, you just take it to the local store; if you use their app–which I highly recommend–then you get in a special line and it’s lightning fast.
It’s easy to find what you want using their Shop by Style page; just select your vibe (like coastal, glam, traditional, etc. and browse their selections).
I’m kind of hoping that our weather in NC cools off soon as fall is probably my favorite season. Now that the living room has been cozy-fied in preparation, I’m ready to enjoy the fire just as soon as the temperature dips below the 90s. Hurry up, fall!

I remember seeing that you have a similar coffee table. You have excellent taste, of course! 😉 My only wish is that they had put a second level of glass so I could have two surfaces but I guess you can’t have everything!
