Today is the BIG day–I think just about everyone is back in school by now, right? So I thought today was the perfect day to introduce another tool in our new line of 11 Magnolia Lane organizing products. Today I bring you the Student Planner, and it’s in a printable version so it’s yours instantly!
For students going back to school, and for those {like mine} that are already knee-deep in homework, activities and spelling tests, the school year just goes so much more smoothly if they stay organized. My children occasionally struggle with turning assignments in on time, and more often with actually bringing their homework HOME. We also deal with melt downs because they have forgotten they have soccer practice and have some other idea in their heads as to their after school plans, all of these issues seem to be lessened by having a weekly plan.
This planner has a weekly calendar {beginning on Monday and running through the weekend} with a section for activities, assignments and chores. It also has a things-to-do list and a long-term project planner to help with larger school assignments and things that are on an ongoing basis.
I do plan to offer these printed in bound pads, similar to The Calendar Pad product I launched a few weeks ago. I am thrilled to death with the success of those, and thank you all 🙂 You can find the post with the tips for how to use The Calendar Pad HERE if you missed either of those.
In an effort to get the student printables to you quickly so you can get your school year off to a great start, I am offering these as printables via our online store. If you purchase the printable you get unlimited use–you can print as many copies for as students as you have, for as many weeks in the year. You just download the files and print off as many as you need on an ongoing basis. I have included both a color version and a black and white so you can select your preference. {note: last year I invested in this inexpensive printer and it works great for printables!}
These are designed to work for all ages. I fill out my youngest daughter’s schedule {like you see above} for her. She is doing so much better seeing what is ahead in her week, knowing what days she can play with friends after school and what day she has an activity and it reminds her of her daily chores etc. so she is much more cooperative during the week.
An older child can use this planner for him or herself. They can fill it out and then can–as all my tools are designed–take a picture with their phone. {As a parent, I recommend you do the same so everyone is on the same page.} It teaches older children valuable planning skills and holds them accountable for their work, activities and all the other things that come up during the week. I am a big believer that organizational skills are an essential life skill, and these printables are designed to specifically nurture and develop that in children, in addition to being useful 🙂
To order your printable download just click the button below. It comes via email instantly and you and your child can start planning there week as soon as today.
Many of the tips and tricks for using the calendar pad apply to the Student Planner as well, so be sure to check out that post here. Things like color-coding, using stickies for repeat activities and other ideas will help your child develop better organizational skills and when that happens, everyone has less stress in their life!
Questions, or if you would prefer these in a printed pad version, just leave a comment or email me at 11magnolialane@gmail.com, I’d love to hear from you!

I love these! I am tempted to use these for myself rather than my kiddos because I like the size and clipboard option! However, I really love the look and options on the large life. Would you please consider sizing down the life calendar for another option for moms? I adore how you have arranged the days in columns from left to right. That is sooo how my brain works!

Andrea–that is a good idea 🙂 I have been debating offering the calendar pad as a printable in the store in a smaller size. I’ll work on that. I have had requests for different versions too–I am hoping to get new things added in the next few weeks. Thanks so much for your support! XO,
Amy
