I have something big to share with you all today, I have been working on this really for several years. As announced in our weekly newsletter, today I am opening up subscriptions to our Winter 2023 meal planning product.
If you just want to jump to the product page and specifically learn more, especially if you are one of those people that finds figuring out what to make for dinner night after night is challenging-feel free to click here. {Note: I have simplified the pricing structure a bit if this is your second visit, I heard it was too complicated!} For those of you interested in the whole story of how this came about, I’ll share first here in this post then tell you more about what The Dinner Plan is.
I have had this project in my mind for the last two years, I have practically filled a notebook with ideas and plans and even (during Covid) started compiling the best dinner recipes from our family arsenal into a cookbook. For several years I have had the desire to continue to be on this blogging platform but in a more useful and substantive way than just sharing pictures of home decor. I waited until I felt like I had a clear direction, and I kept coming back to sharing healthy, nourishing recipes in a way that made life easier especially for busy moms. I wanted to offer more than just a printable package (though we have that), and I figured out that I could use social media to share daily dinners via our Instagram page to compliment the printables in a fun and interactive way.
January seemed like the perfect time to share this product with you all, I truly do hope it will be helpful especially to those of you working, raising families and bearing the task of providing dinner for everyone in your home on a nightly basis. The overall goal is simple, to help you be prepared with what you need to make dinner nightly, so that we all become less dependant on processed and fast foods.
The basics of the plan are below, and there is much more specific information here.
The current winter meal plan covers a 14 week session that runs until April 30. The meals in the plan are generally focused around a protein and vegetables and an optional starch, and are (mostly) healthy though at this time of year comfort food is called for! I include modifications for gluten-free and meatless when feasible. Most dishes can be prepared in 20 minutes or less and each week there is at least one recipe that can be made super fast so you can get dinner on the table on your busiest night of the week. I try to use traditional, classic ingredients to keep things kid- and picky-eater friendly (and not leave you with a $5 sauce in your pantry you only used once) and I tell you when you can make extra to save a preparation step later in the week. Extensive meal prep ahead on the weekend is never essential.
Here is how it works–
The Printable Subscription entitles you to the weekly meal plans each week with the grocery list, all the recipes, easy prep and make ahead tricks and substitutions for dietary accommodations all emailed to you each Friday AM. You can print them out, or save them to your phone and shop online right from them to be prepared for the week ahead.
The cost for the meal plans is essentially $1.35 a week, a bargain when you consider food waste, the cost of a drive-thru dinner and the benefits of lowering the amount of processed food your family consumes. I also am donating a percentage of the sales of the Dinner Plan to local food banks as I believe that everyone should eat well.

Also–while there will be more info shared about this service, rest assured that this content isn’t taking over 11 Magnolia Lane. We’ll still both be here posting about all the things we have talked about over all the years!

Hi Amy,
I intended to respond after your first post about this but got distracted. I think this is a wonderful idea and would have jumped on it when my kids were younger and at home. I remember the frustration of having to figure out what to prepare every night and that’s enough to drive a Mom mad! 😂 It’s just me now but I wanted to wish you well!
xo

Just a questions, Amy. If we subscribe midway through the spring session, do we receive all of the meal plans that have been published before. or just the ones left in the session? Thanks.

Of course we already emailed, but I wanted to leave the answer here if anyone else is curious. The price has been reduced for the remaining period. Hope you enjoy the meal plan! XO, Amy
