| Pour Yourself A Drink Pillow {16 x 16} | Painted Gray Chair Tutorial | Greek Key Stool |
I’ve made a few easy updates at the MCC House to get it fluffed up for summer, courtesy of the folks at Society6. I had a pretty tough time choosing exactly what would look best because they have so many things to choose from, but I finally narrowed it down!
Society6 is pretty amazing. Independent artists from around the world upload their artwork, and then customers can purchase it on 30+ premium consumer goods–everything from throw pillows, to shower curtains, to wallpaper. So if you love Elizabeth Taylor’s “Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together” quote as much as I do (it’s kind of a classier version of “Time to put on your big girl panties”), then you can buy it on a phone case, or a coffee mug, or a T shirt, etc. Every purchase pays an artist!

I was thrilled to see that artist and fellow blogger Craftberry Bush and Annechovie (I use her gorgeous matchboxes throughout the house) are part of Society6, and I grabbed one of Annechovie’s Staffordshire dog throw pillows in preparation for Christmas. I know it’s early, but I’ve been eyeing this one for quite some time!

A quick side note on the pillows: you can order indoor or outdoor fabric, plus choose the size you need (16 x 16, 18 x 18, 20 x 20, or 24 x 24). They are zipper pillow covers and come with poly inserts, although I usually use my own down inserts just because I like their shape better. They’re a great price and they almost always have a coupon offer if you sign up for their emails {here}.
As often happens in our house, my daughter was all about scoring a few new things for her bedroom. She loves Frida Kahlo’s colorful, surrealist style, and she just finished a year-long online Art History course. So when we found this Frida pillow that matches the colors of her room, I knew we were going to put it in our cart.

Doesn’t it work perfectly with the pinks and aqua blues in her room?

She also found a piece of artwork that she loves that we put on an easel on her nightstand:

The napping tuxedo cat looks like Brontë, and the colors fit in perfectly with her decor.
Don’t worry if you’re not absolutely sure that your order will work in your home; their easy return/replace/exchange policy keeps things simple.
My final score was a guest towel in my favorite colors: blue and white.
It fits in perfectly, doesn’t it?
Thanks to Society6 for letting us try out some of their products, and thanks for stopping by!

That Staffordshire dog pillow is adorable! Might need to pick up one of those for the holidays.

She has one without the Santa hat, too, but I couldn’t resist YET ANOTHER Christmas throw pillow! Can you ever have too many?!
