One of the greatest gifts of blogging is that blog friends often turn into real and in-person friends. Our next guest in our Holiday Open House series is Shirley from Housepitality Designs.  Shirley just happens to live in the same area in North Carolina where Christy currently lives so they get to go out and do all sorts of fun things together–which I am a little jealous about!  You can see more about the luncheon she hosted to welcome Christy to the area HERE, which just shows how sweet and ‘hospitable’ she is!

Moving on to holiday decor—in her own words, here is Shirley’s beautiful classic, southern home…

I love Holiday traditions . . . or traditions of every kind.

And I feel it is a bit of a tradition being with the very lovely ladies

of 11 Magnolia Lane each year for my Christmas Home Tour.

It has been a bit hectic this past week getting things done;

however, I managed to get most of my Christmas decorating done

in time to be on this wonderful Christmas Tour of 11 Magnolia Lane.

Welcome to my home!

In the past I have placed this feather tree in the guest room.

I love it so much that I moved it to where I can see it throughout the day.

Lovely, isn’t it? I know you all {like me} are also jealous of Christy being able to enjoy Shirley’s “hospitality”, her home is so warm and welcoming and even more so at this time of year.
