Happy Holidays everyone!
My name is Shirley with Housepitality Designs.
I so love the holidays and the joys of Christmas.
I am so happy to be here with the ladies of 11 Magnolia Lane.
Oh how I wish that I lived on a beautiful street name such as “Magnolia Lane”
Today I present a little tour of my first floor ~ ~ decorated for the Holidays!
I usually start in the Great Room, however, this year I started with the easiest room to do ~ ~
~ ~ the Master Bedroom
I purchased the bedding last year at Pottery Barn (Winter Birds) ~
I don’t usually change my bedding for the holidays ~ ~ just add a decorative pillow here and there ~
~ ~ however, I could not resist this bedding.
Then moving on the to Great Room ~ ~
Above the fireplace are antique wood and iron shutters from a villa in Italy ~ ~
~ ~ at least this is what the shop owner says!! . . We fell in love with them.
“The Tree” ~ ~ A 12 foot tree that is getting harder and harder for this old lady to decorate.
A look toward the foyer ~ ~
This will soon change once my french buffet arrives from France, as it will go in the foyer.
~ ~ Can’t wait!!!
This area transitions the Great Room to the Kitchen and Sunroom area.
We leave the Great Room and now we move into the kitchen ~ ~
Note: I have not done as much this year due to time constraints and “energy”!!
My “take out chefs” tree . .
~ ~ did a bit of a change to this tree this year by changing the container.
Bought the container from Marian (Miss Mustard Seed) from the Lucketts Antique show.
The “chefs”
One side of the kitchen…
These faux evergreen trees were “flocked” by my granddaughter.
My “little elf” ~
My vintage Egg Nog Set with vintage Egg Nog bottle . .
Going into the dining room . .
~ ~ not completely done in this room, however, here are some snippits.
Now moving over to the sunroom ~
A large white flocked upside down tree was in this area last year..
~ ~ this year I just put a simple tree on the potting bench.
Hanging scale with sprays of berries..
A small tree vs. the large one in a vintage galvanized bucket.
And I leave you here today, with a couple of my items from my Hallmark truck and car ornament collection..
They are some of my favorites.
I want to again thank the fabulous ladies of 11 Magnolia Lane for having me here today!!!
I wish you all a most joyous holiday making wonderful memories!!
Thanks Shirley! We are so thrilled you could be here today, Happy Holidays.

Shirley always does a beautiful job decorating her home for all seasons. But for Christmas, I swear she has to have elves come over to help. There is no table top missed! Lovely as always.
