We’re hosting a large family party the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and since by then Thanksgiving will be old news, a Christmas theme is in order. We’ll have a few kids attending, including my favorite niece and twin nephews who are flying in from Texas to be with us this holiday, so I wanted to do something extra fun for them. You may have seen the sneak peak I showed on Instagram yesterday, I went ahead and set up a little hot chocolate bar so the littles could make their own concoctions during the party. I plan to add Hot Cider into the mix too {because that gives the adults the option of Apple Cider Martinis, yum!} so I’ll have something for everyone.
To make this set-up super kid-friendly, I used plain white paper cups and created these easy printable hot cocoa/warmest wishes labels. You can use these again and again, just download them and print them on full sheet label paper. You’ll need a 2″ round punch {available here or at any craft store}; these warmest wishes labels would be really cute on food gifts too.
I just set out glass jars filled with hot chocolate mix, marshmallows, candy canes and chocolate chips. My kids came home from school and helped themselves today so it must be a hit.
We already had the small glass jars filled with sprinkles, they reside in our baking pantry. For fun, I added this pom pom garland to the front of the console in our kitchen, {mine came from JoAnns Fabrics} but you can purchase one HERE.
Most of my accessories came from HomeGoods, like the ‘Merry and Bright” sign, the glass jars and the “Bon Appetit” bowls. Don’t forget we’re giving away a $100 Gift Card to HomeGoods right now, click HERE to enter!

We’ll be back after the Holiday with gift guides, our holiday organization series and then starting December 2nd, our Holiday Home Tour series begins. It is the most wonderful time of the year!
