Let the shopping begin! On the (almost) eve of Black Friday the holiday shopping season is suddenly in full swing. Over the next few days we’ll be sharing our holiday gift picks to make your shopping easier. Today we begin with some of our gift selections for the women in your life including mothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, girlfriends and even female teachers or neighbors.
I find these ideas to be pretty easy to come by, I just look for things I’d love to get myself! I have a long list of women to buy for this year and I have to admit, I have barely started shopping. I do plan a Black Friday blitz, and we’ll be back with a guide that morning to help too.
The first gift I have to share since I have already purchased one as a gift, is a Barefoot Dreams cardigan, I am of the belief that everyone needs one of these! They come in several styles and basically are like the softest, coziest sweater you can wear. If you aren’t a bathrobe person, this is the next best thing. I put mine on first thing in the morning, and again when I am home for the day. Even with that much use mine still looks brand new. These are definitely my go-to gift for the women in my life! Update: This style is ON SALE for $65, I think these will sell out quickly!
These jewelry cases may reappear in our future post on “What Is On Our Wish Lists” because I want one of these for myself! At just $20 these are a perfect gift for anyone who travels, they can be monogrammed for a personal touch and are a nice compact size.
These lightweight throws are also on sale, and with a monogram (because a monogram always makes everything better!) they are pretty much a universal gift. These are also nice for people in warmer climates as they are a lightweight material.
Speaking of cozy throws, if you need a gift for someone younger (like a teen or pre-teen, my daughter is nuts over these) these fur throws are a great deal right now. They are on sale, plus you can stack the “SAVEMORE” code to further discount them.
For an easy and super inexpensive gift, pick up one of these plaid initial mugs and fill it with chocolates, christmas candy or a coffee gift card. These are so cute for the holidays!
Pair the coffee mug with these personalized coffee spoons for an extra touch, they are just $6.99
When I saw these sets it took me back, I used to love these lip glosses (I have no idea why I stopped wearing them, they work great) so it was fun to come across them again. This is a great set and it’s on sale right now with free shipping. Perfectly priced at just $20.
These pretty earrings come in several colors and come in a darling gift box. There are several earring collections to select from here, and everything is currently 40% off.
I am a huge addict of these “butter socks” during the winter (and they tend to sell out so get them early), they are the softest socks (like butter!) and keep your feet so warm. These are 3/$25 so they make a nice gift if you need multiples (like for a Favorite Things Party gift), I have given them to my girl friends in years past and they have been a big hit.
Books are my favorite gifts to give (probably because I love to receive them). Joanna’s new book promises to be as good as her others, coming from one homebody to another. I also love her cookbook, I cook from it all the time.
For your friend with a bit more sass, Reese Witherspoon’s new book Whiskey in a Teacup promises to be entertaining. This one is also on my list 🙂 and I’ll definitely be gifting it to several friends.
For a bit more elegance, or for the francophile in your life, Courtney Allison’s new book French Country Cottage is lovely. We just had the best time at the Biltmore with Courtney decorating Christmas trees, so I highly recommend her work, she has the most beautiful style.
If you are shopping for younger girls, then these next ideas will work perfectly as I took these next few items directly off my daughter’s christmas list. We’re finishing up her room and as soon as she saw these fur bean bags she put them on her wish list. She’s ten, but I think girls both younger and older would be happy to have a soft place to lounge, I am sort of jealous, they look really comfortable!
These Instamax Cameras are a popular item with girls as they can use them to take pictures and then print them right out. It’s sort of old school, isn’t it?!? Even better is once they take and print the pictures, they can hang them from these lighted clips! The film is relatively inexpensive too, but it’s fun for them to capture memories someplace other than on their phones.
Mini Backpacks are a thing again–but so are fanny packs, I’ll leave that right there–but these are another popular item with younger girls. These sparkly ones are so fun!
If you like the idea of a special teacher gift, these personalized pads would come in handy. Teachers are always writing notes to send home.
Finally, a can’t go wrong gift is touch screen gloves. There are a ton of colors to select from here!
Happy Shopping everyone! We’ll be back over the next few days with more gift guides. …let the joyful holiday craziness begin!
