I love the opportunity to be involved in their classroom activities and give their hardworking teachers a hand. And honestly, being the mom who organizes parties and brings in treats is not a bad gig–the kids are always happy to see me in the classroom!
Pinterest is a great source of inspiration for room mom ideas, but at the same time I can make myself crazy as I try to re-create some of the beautiful things I see on there (by the way, my Back to School board has lots of neat ideas on it). Sometimes simple is best, and I think that’s the case with these apple and caramel snacks that I made a few weeks ago.
Here’s the free printable of the tag that I used; just click on the image, print it out on white card stock, and use a 2″ circle punch:
I left the tags blank so you can add whatever text you want with photo editing software or a pen–or just leave it blank.
The clear bags are a staple at my house–I have them in pretty much every size they make and I use them for wrapping small gifts, making goody bags, and packaging food. I also have curly ribbon in every color under the sun, so I’m ready for whichever holiday is coming up next! I generally pick the bags up at the craft store and use a coupon, but here’s the link to the size that I used here in case you need them shipped (affiliate link):
So if you’re on the hook to provide a snack, give these a try. If you want something sweeter, try these pretzel kisses (they’d be great with Fall-colored M&M’s right now). Oh, and check out this teacher survival kit I made a few weeks ago (we’re giving away a $100 Target gift card at the end of that post):
