I am back today to share more about my Dining Room holiday decor from At Home Stores. I have already showed you the tablescape I created with them and more about the stores here; you can see it below.

Today I want to show you more of our new Christmas tree. As I mentioned, last year I purchased a new flocked tree, for no other reason than I wanted one to decorate and I think they are beautiful. It was delivered last year during the frantic last-minute holiday madness so I never decorated it, and it sat in it’s box all spring and summer just waiting to be set up.

Since it was a new tree , I knew I would need ornaments for it so At Home was the perfect place to shop. Not only do they have everything you need for your home any time of the year but they have aisles of Christmas Decor at super low-prices. They have a ton of Christmas Trees too, if you need another one {how many is too many?!?} . I always like to decorate a tree completely in my own way, and reserve another tree in our family room to hold all our sentimental, and let’s call them handmade (as in preschool-made!) ornaments. I let our kids adorn that tree as they wish and resist injecting my decorating “perfection” complex on it.

I basically needed a full tree’s worth of ornaments, so I loaded up on bulk decorations from At Home. I purchased large packages of gold, silver and white ornaments as I am of the opinion that more is more when it comes to ornaments on a tree! I also added the gold-beaded garland at the end and it feels like jewelry.

I mixed ornaments from different sections of the store, At Home Christmas Decor offers 15 different themes from coastal to a variety of colors. If you like to have things organized for you, the store set up makes it so easy to decorate a perfectly coordinated tree.

As I mentioned in my first post, I am hosting a Girls Night Out  and I wanted to have the room all decked out in sparkly holiday decor for the festivities. My plan is to coordinate gold and white accessories with the tree for the party.

I added a few gold ribbons and a star at the top of the tree, and it’s all done. I’ll probably move this tree into our foyer a little closer to Christmas so it’s the first thing you see in our house, but for now, it’s perfect in our dining room and will even add some extra sparkle to our Thanksgiving dinner this year.

As Christy touched on yesterday, I feel a large weight lifted to have some of my holiday decorating already done. It’s always so hectic between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this year I am looking forward to actually relaxing and enjoying it knowing much of my to-do list is already done!
