We have had our first hint of cooler Fall weather this morning after a blazing hot week last week, which gives me hope that real cool weather will arrive soon around here. While I could happily skip over the entire season of winter, Fall is such a fun season–the apple cider martinis, football games, tailgates and pumpkin spice everything, everywhere right?
Today I rounded up a few fun Fall fashion items that are just small additions to your wardrobe for a small cost–pretty much all but one are under $30. In fact, some of these are complete steals like $25 leopard flats or a $20 cargo jacket, and my favorite $12 sunglasses. These are just a few ideas that, rather than buying a whole new outfit, are things that can take a casual outfit to a fun new level and won’t break the bank. You can just add most of these items to the basics you have–like jeans and a white or black t shirt and be transformed into a Fall fashionista 🙂

Blanket Scarves
There are countless sources for scarves but I usually buy them from Jane.com as they have good quality ones for under $15. The fall-themed plaids are perfect to throw on even with a t-shirt and jeans, and are nice to have around for evening when the temps start dropping {like night time football games!}. I was just looking at the different colors today to decide which pattern to add to my collection for this year. It is hard to pick a favorite from these muted colors and today they even have some pretty solid colors available.

I stand by the saying that leopard a neutral and feel pretty much like if you want to add something interesting and stylish to your wardrobe, a leopard accessory should be your first thought. I shared these fun shoes in this post here–for $25 they are a fun way to jazz up a plain outfit, plus they work great on days when it’s too hot for boots but you need a little more than flip flops (hello month of September 🙂 ). A leopard belt is a fun way to make jeans and a t-shirt more interesting, I am stalking this belt hoping it will come back in stock in my Target soon.
Statement Tee
blazer | shoes | necklace | jeans
Christy showed off a fun T-shirt HERE {my husband and I also have an agreement that there is absolutely no talking before coffee in the morning}, and I have a few of these tees that look cute under a cardigan sweater. I have even gotten bold enough to wear a graphic tee under a blazer a few times and it feels fun and a little sassy. I bought this blazer {in white} after seeing other bloggers wear it and it is a great wardrobe addition–especially with jeans and heels for a girls night out– and you can’t beat the price. Add a statement necklace and you are all set. For a more casual look I love these faith based t-shirts too.

Cargo Jacket
I love this jacket–mostly because I can throw it on with jeans, which is pretty much my daily wardrobe. I ordered several of this style jacket last spring and kept the one that was my favorite, even though it wasn’t expensive {and it’s on sale, and they carry it in plus too} I thought that the gold buttons classed it up a little. It’s a cute look for game day or just running around town.
Poncho Sweater
Isn’t this poncho a cute style? A poncho works for everyone–no matter what your size, and it’s plaid so it’s perfect for Fall. I like how this one looks with jeans, but I think it would be so versatile over a black dress with heels for the office. So cute and perfect for the in between weather we have right now.
Booties
OK, now I am really sharing all my secrets here but these boots are another very inexpensive but totally awesome find. I didn’t have high expectations paying what I did for them last Fall–around $30– but they have been a staple in my wardrobe. They are seriously super comfortable, are holding up great, and the gray color goes with pretty much everything.
I know I have showed off this bag before but I use mine so often (I have a summery gold and cream version I got in a fix from Stitch Fix, same brand) that I think I also need this cognac and black version. It would go with just about everything. I love the size of this bag, I can tuck a smaller cross body in it, my computer, agenda, water bottle and have everything I need when I am running around throughout the day. It’s the perfect size and a great price especially considering you get two bags for the price of one because it is reversible.
