I’ve had a couple of weeks to enjoy the bounty (and booty) from Christmas, and there are definitely a few favorites that I thought I’d share with you all. We don’t go crazy with gifts, but give a few quality items to each other, and that’s always plenty for me.
I was pretty specific with my list this year, but it’s always nice to get exactly what you want!

I’ve been craving a horse like this for quite some time, because obviously:

My husband gave me this Lollia perfume in one of my absolute favorite scents, Wish. If you like the Tyler Candle Company laundry detergent we recommend (called Diva; here), then you’ll love this!
He also gave me a set of Lilly Pulitzer pajamas because my last pair was threadbare, but they’re sold out so I can’t link to them for you. Here are the pants, though–so cute!
My son gave me a delicious-smelling candle from a local Southern Pines boutique called Mockingbird. He always gives me a candle and this is definitely one of my favorites ever!
These were such fun books–I blew through them!
Now they’re on the dresser in my bedroom, looking lovely until I read them again.
I also got a new sheepskin rug that had been on my wish list for quite awhile. However, Sunny took one look at it and said, “For me? You shouldn’t have!” and took it over.
So now the rug is Sunny’s, AND he makes us drag it around the house to wherever he’s napping at the moment. Please don’t ask me how he tells us to move his rug; if you have dogs then you know that it’s very easy for them to tell you what they want you to do!
Bless. Maybe I’ll put a sheepskin rug on my list again next year.
Have a beautiful day, and thanks for stopping by–

What fun and thoughtful gifts! And, I am cracking up about the rug. All blankets in this household become the property of Kylee!!
Christy says
Yep–the dogs have it made, don’t they?!

I love that you gave Sunny your rug. So sweet. 🙂

Sunny is terribly spoiled, but he’s so sweet. I don’t think we have very much time left with him, so we’re trying to enjoy every minute!

Christy, I love the horse. We are horse lovers and I love the organic look of it.19″ seems pretty big. Was it hard to decorate around? Are the Madame Chi books fiction or non-fiction. They sound wonderful.
Christy says
Carol, the horse is actually pretty easy to decorate around. It goes in the back of any vignette, and I can place smaller items in front of it. I’ve actually moved it and it’s on my dining room table now – – it makes a great centerpiece!
I knew you’ve already ordered the Madame Chic books, but they’re nonfiction. They’re a very easy read, though. Let me know how you like them!

Great, great gifts Christy….and so funny about the rug….and you have to admit, he is one smart dog…who would want to lay on a luxurious sheepskin rug….I think Sunny has been reading your books!
Christy says
He is just spoiled rotten! I have been dragging it out to the living room in the morning, and into the bedroom every night. He loves it!

Christy, I checked out the Madame Chic books and ordered all 3. I love anything French and these books sound so enticing. Can’t wait to read them. Thanks for the recommendation.

I love that Sunny loves the rug!! They certainly have their way of communicating, no doubt about it. My boy is old and I can’t stand to think of /you know/. Just enjoy every moment with them and love on ’em as much as you can, right? 🙂
You received such lovely gifts and isn’t it nice when they honor your list? The horse is great! I haven’t heard of that perfume so thanks for sharing. The pj’s are adorable. I’m a certified candholic so I don’t think anyone can have too many candles!
