Well, it’s been a pretty crazy week around here and I am late checking in with my weekly One Room Challenge update. I really don’t have much new to tell this week, just being completely honest. I have had some other big projects get pushed forward which caused our bathroom makeover to get the proverbial back-burner, but I still have a few weeks left so it all should end well {fingers crossed!}. If you would like to catch up you can read my previous posts here, here and here; I am joining with a number of bloggers to completely makeover a room, in this case my powder room, in just six weeks. You can see all the details at the series hostess, Linda’s blog, Calling it Home.
This week I did receive the mirror and I have to say, it’s not exactly what I was hoping for. It’s solid black {and more of a shiny plastic than wood} which is definitely not going to work in the room, though looking at the photo again I don’t know why I expected otherwise. I do have a back-up mirror I’d plan to check out and if it doesn’t work out better then I’ll be going the spray paint route. It won’t be the first time 🙂
The Moen faucet came in this week and I can’t wait to get it installed. I also decided to build some shelves, like these below {tutorial here}, and while I can already see this is going to be a last-minute, screeching- to -the-finish-line type makeover, I have hopes that everything will get done.
So in other news, despite the fact that I am already working on some holiday projects {I know!} it is almost Halloween. I found this darling bingo game via Courtney and I am bringing it into my daughter’s class party tomorrow, I thought I would share just in case you still need something to do with your kids {you can see all our Halloween ideas HERE}. The game is available via Crazy Little Projects. I think the pictures are so cute, especially for littler children.
Finally, I shared this on Instagram, but my son keeps asking when we’re going to start decorating for Halloween, and I explain that this is it. It’s no wonder he is confused as I may or may not have a Christmas tree up in the Dining Room currently.
Anyway, we’re looking forward to a great weekend filled with trick or treating and all sorts of Halloween fun! I hope you all do the same 🙂

Love the shelves….and the Halloween vignette is beautiful…love that you incorporated the bust in the vignette…it can have a bit of a “scary” look sometimes when you dress it up as you did….When I was little, my parents’ friends had a bust in their living room and it actually scared me a bit whenever I saw it….:) Now, I love them!!!

I’m sorry the mirror wasn’t what it should have been. I feel sure you will find a resolution though! The shelves are great ~ can’t wait to see.
Have a lot of Halloween fun!
