Happy Friday everyone! Today is April Fool’s Day which is not really one of my favorite days, especially since my husband and my daughter love to pull silly pranks, so I’ll be watching my back. Today’s our Friday ‘Free for All’ post, which is just a random round-up of things we want to share, I have a few fun things for you today but I promise none of them are tricks 🙂
To start with Christy and I have some exciting news to share! We’ve been working with one of our favorite brands, HomeGoods, as a Pinterest Partner for over a year {are you following the board to see what we’re pinning along with the other design professionals on the Happy By Design board?} and now we’ll be partnering with them as a Brand Ambassador! We’ve talked before how HomeGoods has always been our “happy place” so this new collaboration is very exciting; stay tuned we’re sure there will be much more goodness to come from our work with them.
I still have little girl’s room decor on my mind and earlier this week we shared this beautiful room on Instagram that our friend Julie at Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss created for her daughter. Julie has the magic touch {to match a lovely heart} and this room just wins on all levels. The part especially worth noting is that Julie designed the wallpaper herself! Just when I am obsessing about wallpaper for a girl’s room, right? No wonder my jaw dropped when I saw what they did!
Next I have a great fashion find for you–I scooped up this darling dress when I saw it on Cyndi Spivey’s site earlier this week. Target had it to my door in two days and I wanted to pass it along to you all because this dress is even better than I hoped, and it’s only $35! I expected it to be a gauzy cotton but it’s not, its more of a silky crepe, so it’s a little dressier than I expected. It’s so comfortable and I feel as if it’s a universally flattering dress. It is a nice lightweight material and it also COVERS {nothing clings!} if you know what I mean, it’s perfect for this time of year and could be dressed up or down.
I snapped a close-up of it when I tried it on so you could ideally see the fabric, the picture didn’t turn out well, but you get the idea. It’s a great basic spring dress either in black or white!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Before I go I’ll share that while you’re reading this we’ll be off on an exciting trip today, my oldest son qualified for the Virginia State Geography Bee so we’re traveling across the state for the competition. It’s been so fun to see him excel at something he didn’t really even know he had the knack for. I took this picture of him last week when we took him to Charlottesville, Virginia {anyone recognize where we are?} for a day during Spring Break. He starts high school next year and the years feel like they are flying by. So please cross your fingers for us today, he’s totally laid back about it but of course mama is nervous for him!
Have a beautiful day everyone!

I bought that dress in black a couple of weeks ago – it looks much more expensive and classy than I ever expected for $35! Also, thanks for the link for Grove Collective’s cleaning product giveaway – mine arrived in a mere two days, I love everything I bought, and I joined their service.
