Happy Friday, I know that this week coming up is spring break for many people so I thought this would be a great time to post some favorites. I included things that have been both brightening my day and that are great for either spring travel (hopefully to somewhere warm, right?) or to enjoy this coming season.
I first wanted to share two books that I recently purchased, both I loved. The first one is All Things Lovely by Jenn Johnson. I stumbled on this book on Amazon and once I read the description I decided to order it. I didn’t realize that the author is one of the leaders of Bethel Worship (one of my favorite worship groups) until I began reading the book. There are plenty of books on beautiful home decor, on organizing your home or even raising a family but I loved how Jenn wrote in an open and honest way about doing all of those things in a way that honors God. I have already gone back and read over it several additional times. It’s pretty enough to leave on your coffee table too!
I don’t have that many hobbies but I do truly enjoy cooking. I have shared many times that Half Baked Harvest is one of my favorite places to get recipes ideas, so I was really looking forward to her newest cookbook coming out. I already shared this in our weekly newsletter but her new book, Every Day is probably my favorite of her three cookbooks, as this one includes a healthier spin on recipes than her other two. I am really looking forward to trying many of the recipes in this book. While her recipes aren’t always simple and easy, everything I have tried has always been very good.
I stumbled back on the Boden website a few nights ago trying to wind down before bed and before I knew it my cart was loaded (though I haven’t actually order anything–yet!). I used to frequently order from Boden, I always found that their clothes while they can be a little pricey, are very nice quality. Below are just some of the styles that caught my eye that I am considering that are currently available. If you have an event this spring you might want to check to see what they offer, I also thought this white one would be cute for a graduation.
If you are traveling for spring break here are a few picks, these I did order for our upcoming vacation. These popular bathing suits are a great price (I have to size up in this brand) and come in a ton of colors.
I am always looking for a cute cover up and these pants are perfect for the pool or the beach. I ordered white but all the colors are great, there is also a skirt version here.
I don’t really need this woven purse but seriously, isn’t it cute? It is less than $30. It has all the grandmillenial vibes (maybe I say that because I remember my grandmother carrying a similar one!), but the woven is fun for summer and the chain makes it dressy enough for an event. Just sharing, I thought it was so cute!
If you need a gift idea (or are already thinking ahead to Mother’s Day!), these Rifle Co. Wine Tumblers come in several floral patterns and a few are on sale. Perfect for a beverage on the go. They say they are for wine but since they keep anything hot (or cold) I often use mine for a cup of tea because it stays warm for so long.
Finally, I am not sure if I have shared this brand before, but over the years I have switched over to completely “clean” beauty products. I hadn’t thought much about the chemicals in perfume until I discovered this line, not only is it non-toxic but it is so light and easy to wear. Since Sephora is running their sale right now (use code SAVESPRING) I thought it would be a good time to share this with you all. I love the Capri scent, but you can try four different fragrances in this sample pack here and pick your favorite.
Thanks for stopping by!

Love the suggestions! That woven purse is adorable! Maybe I missed it in a previous post but since you mentioned it here I thought I would ask, have you done a post on your “clean” beauty products? I have been searching for a new healthier/clean moisturizer/serum for night and would love to see what you use. Thank you!

Thank you! I will make a note to post more about what products I use, I mostly use Beauty Counter and Arbonne (right now I like Arbonne better), there are a few details in this post: https://www.11magnolialane.com/my-morning-routine-day-in-the-life-series/
I’ll write an updated one soon!
XO,
Amy
